I honestly think that’s why our D played so shitty yesterday is because TD was not with the team. He’s more of a leader and moral icon then I think a lot of the “he’s lost a step” people will realize until we don’t have him.

what happened yesterday is Luke Kuechly played like a mortal.

I dont know about that, but if Ron is calling out playcalling ( in short..calling out a legend like Norv..but never dared as such with Shula) I am with all the other knuckleheads that want to fire Ron after going to the playoffs how many times? Superbowl appearance how many times? Coach of the year how many times?

Straight knuckleheads. Every team in the NFL cant have a Belichick-type coach!

Thats true but you can also have an Andy Reid in Philly type situation

What happened yesterday is the same thing that's been happening virtually every time we play the Falcons or Saints since the end of the 2015 season. They carve us up because they know exactly how to exploit the weaknesses of our D. Yeah, Luke didn't have a good game by his standards, but even if he plays like Superman those two teams have the tools and scheme to eat our D up and they've proven it time and time again.

Basically ya which was shocking. He was almost nonexistent for the first time in history.

Is he still hurting from last week? What happened.

if you go back and watch games where the defense gets gashed, Kuechly is trying to do too much because he feels like he has too and over shoots or gets swallowed up in blocks he normally goes around or goes through. doesnt happen very much but even the best have off days.

well that and he can't literally make every single play. He isn't the only one playing defense out there.

The dline was getting blown up all game long by the falcons oline. LBs job is extremely hard if he's constantly getting his Dline pushed back into his chops .

ron's #1 job is not to be a good coach. his #1 job is to win games. it isn't to mentor and "believe" in guys like amini and butler. it's to put guys on the field that will put them in the best position to win. it's his coordinators job to make sure that happens, the right players with the right plan. if that doesn't happen then he needs to make sure that happens. success and failure is ultimately on him and failure is not acceptable, ever. I think he's got a boss that finally has that understanding.

Or at the very least, that the era of "yeah we had a bad season, but I like you so it's okay" is over.
