Score one for Eric Washington

My takeaway from this isn't so much about Bradberry.  To me, the bigger deal is that it sounds like Eric Washington is moving away from the "left - right" corner scheme that we used to use.  Always hated that because it allowed smart OCs to choose their matchups.

I'd be very happy to see that happen.

Who can forget the AZ playoff game in 2008, where stubborn Fox would leave Chris Gamble locked in place while Fitzgerald moved anywhere he wanted to and ripped us apart.  Can't understate the importance of allowing your #1 CB to lock down the #1 WR regardless of where they line up.

Good first step. Now let's stop playing 10 yards off the LOS against teams that are game planning to dink and dunk us with quick hitters.

At this point seems like more of a Rivera thing.  I noticed on some plays though Jackson would be playing tight and Bradberry playing off.  Granted I guess playing tight vs Jones wouldn’t be a good thing.

We've had that same complaint under every DC that Rivera's had, so yeah.

Probably not too surprising from a defensive coach that heavily favors pass-rush.

Oh, it's definitely a Rivera thing. We're had what, 3 different DCs? And that has remained a constant fixyute of our D.

    • If he was betting on other sports (hell, even other teams) I don't think he gets the blowback it got him. Making quite a large number of bets on team total unders and his individual prop unders is about as bad as it gets. Like honestly, the NFL/owners would rather you be a murderer or rapist than be betting unders on your own individual props... I still didn't see the talent to warrant a 1st round pick without the gambling scandal. With it, I think he might be a 4th or 5th rounder and would not be shocked if he is just straight blackballed by NFL organizations
    • I'm more curious if he can recover from his injury and still be a starting caliber olineman
    • Does this mean only topics from within the last year or any topics with posts from the last year? i.e. if there are any old threads we feel should be kept around for whatever reasons, would a bump of that thread before the update ensure it's kept around in full or do the posts from more than a year old still disappear?
