The Media Tried To Hype All these QBs, but the best one drafted this decade keeps going

1. Luck

3. Kraperneck

4. Wilson

5. Watson

All were hyped above Cam yet here we are. Yeah, the team doesn't have a Super Bowl but he has a MVP. Wilson has a Super Bowl, but thank fuging god their window is bolted down and boarded up and the whole damn house might as well be demolished. Watson is a Clemson QB, enough said on that one. Point is, the longevity is unquestioned as playing at a high caliber level for now 7 years.

Injuries have derailed two of them. Although a couple of us were relentless about the Kaep vs cam debate. He was a one read and take off quarterback that got figured out. Same kind of deal with rg3. Although you saw kaep adjusting and going through reads and playing at a high level his last starts in the league.

cam is just on another planet compared to them minus luck who if not injuried would be in the same conversation as cam I think.

Wilson is a backyard type of player. He’s good but not like cam or luck (was).

Kind of early to shut the door on Wilson when he hasn't had a losing season yet.  All it takes is one draft to turn it around.  Especially when he puts up elite stats even with an awful team around him.

We'll see what happens with Luck.  I don't trust his injury history.  He's pretty good when healthy though overrated by most.

Why doesn't this list include Wentz, Cousins, Carr, among others?

Russel Wilson is legit and going strong. When exactly did the window close on him? Dude is still balling.

Have you seen him the last two weeks? He is taking way too many sacks because he isn't focusing on anything but downfield. Might be Schottenheimer's offense, but Wilson looks very pedestrian to me right now.

He's taking sacks because he quite literally has the worst O-Line in the NFL and that offense as a whole is mediocre are best.

I get the hate on Russ, seems like a complete fake and a tool, but he's a great QB and the Seahawks get shut out without him.

Luck's good too. Watson was not more hyped than Cam coming out lmao. Kapernick was only.hyped because of him leading the 9ers to the SB after Smith went down.

Cam is the only one of those QBs to win MVP.

Who cares what anyone else says or thinks about him.

Russ has a bad oline, but the performance I have been watching is about 80% on him. Schettenheimer isnt helping with those slow routes. However, Wilson is trying to make things happen with his constantly and missing his receivers.

Russ is a solid QB, but this is going to be a long year for him and that franchise.

    • I have never seen this cat play a single snap of football, BUT, I really hope that we're not counting on a 25 yo, UDFA who played 6 years of college ball to suddenly replace our starting LB.  Sounds to me like Dean Jones needed a story and didn't have anything else to write about. Wishing the guy luck though, cool nickname.
    • I'll go 1 further than that. This 23 year old had spent 4 years as a middle of the pack college player before exploding onto the scene as a 5th year senior, then we have enough faith in him to trade up 1 spot so that we can get a 5th year option and guarantee his salary. So in about a year's time he went from a mid round pick to a first rounder. It would be hard NOT to let that go to your head! I'm going to trust that the staff know what they're doing with XL and not give him too much crap about being a dumbass LAST season, as long as he doesn't continue to be one.
    • From Brugler's scouting report... Tavareon “Bam” Martin-Scott picked up his nickname because of the fireworks celebration he typically receives to celebrate his birthday. He grew up playing pee wee football in Fort Wayne, Ind., but developed late and was mostly a part-time player until his senior year at Snider High (alma mater of Jessie Bates). He posted 87 tackles and 6.0 sacks as a senior in 2018, but it wasn’t enough to put him on the recruiting radar. A no-star recruit, he played two seasons with Dodge City (Kan.) Community College and then received several SEC offers. His playing time and production gradually increased each season for the Gamecocks, and he put intriguing flashes on film. Martin-Scott is a good-sized athlete, with pursuit speed to match races to the perimeter. He competes with a banger mentality to pinball off blocks and stay determined on his path to the ball. Overall, Martin-Scott freelances a tad too much with inconsistent steps in coverage, but he is a classic run-and-hit linebacker who likes to play loose and chase plays — necessary ingredients for NFL special teams. grade: Free Agent
