watch hue jackson start tyrod taylor next week

lolllll

He's already refusing to announce Mayfield as the starter going forward saying that he needs to review the film first.

Is this guy actively trying to sabotage his own career? What is he, something like 2-33 in Cleveland now? Their #1 overall pick QB comes in and gives them a huge spark and brings them back from two TDs down to get the W and Jackson "needs to review the film"???

LOLOLOLOL!!!!

Tim Couch started from day 1, David Carr, Ryan Leaf, and many, many, other bust started day 1. While, if they would've sat and learned the position for a year, ya never know. There are far many failures than success stories from day 1 starters. While sitting a highly picked guy for a year or two, there's only success stories from what I gather.

I personally think Cam would be better than he is now if he would've sat for a year. Reps are cool and all, but if your team, and more specifically your o-line is hot garbage, it will probably hinder your growth. Point, blank, period.

Leaf and Couch I agree were terrible.  Carr had a junior high offensive line the entire time he was there.  The guy lead the league in being sacked his entire time in Houston.  Houston did nothing to help him.  By the time he left Houston he was so shell shocked he was done.

You get 4 years with an option on first round picks.  If they are top picks. They need to play.  Nothing like experience.   Based on your philosophy sitting one year means you have already lost one year.  The next year you are most likely going to have a mediocre season, at best, so there is another season gone.  You have already wasted 40/50% of your contract and barely played.

If you start him year one.  He gets the Reps.  He might play good or he might play poorly but he is learning.

For whatever reason I have always liked Tyrod but this says a lot. Maybe not for Baker with such a small sample size but it does for Tyrod:

87% of Mayfield’s pass attempts on the night were considered catchable, while Taylor ranks last among 32 qualifying quarterbacks with a 53.5% catchable pass rate.

Not to mention Mayfield threw only 4 passes in the first half but still had more passing yards than Darnold and Taylor. Again, very small sample size but Mayfield seemed to provide a spark that the rest of the team reacted to.

So much for Sam Darnold being the next great QB.  2 weeks ago, ESPN was telling us he was the greatest rookie QB on the history of this solar system.

He was a goober head before the draft.  Coming from a long line of USC QBs, he should have been humble.  (Leinart, Sanchez, Cassel, Barkley)

Browns QB is legit but not amazing.  People are raving because the expectations were so damn low for the browns.

Dude, give the kid some credit.  The difference btw Taylor and Mayfield was night and day.  Baker has the goods, you cannot deny it.  He has a very strong arm, is very mobile and accurate for days.  i think the Browns might become my AFC team to follow this year.  I really like Bakers game.

I've always felt Tyrod was underrated but mostly from a fantasy perspective. His rushing usually made his floor higher than you'd think. He's pretty much a perfect QB2 for Superflex/2QB leagues.

And I'll be hitting the waiver wire Tuesday.....

I'd like to believe he's just engaging in coachspeak, though I really don't see the point. the decision is an obvious one. Pretty much everybody. He'd have to be a real dumbass to fall back now.

Granted, I can accept that Hue has that kind of potential, but I'd like to think he'll be smart this time.
