We got extremely lucky officiating calls

Lumps

I see a Twitter storm brewing. At the end of the game when Cam spiked the ball, the broadcast graphic said 4-and 1, and a spike should have ended the game. When we ran another play and no one said anything I figured the graphic must have been wrong. Then I was so nervous about the kick I was barely listening or watching and forgot until I saw a bunch of people saying in Twitter that it really WAS 4-and-1 and we shouldn't have won and the refs messed up. Did they explain it at all on the broadcast?

That's part of the game, and Boger isn't exactly one of the better officials out there.

For the record, I've never really bought into the idea that the NFL is out to get us.

They aren't out to get us. Giants fans are howling that the NFL didn't want them to win right now on Twitter. Anytime the breaks go against you it's tempting to insist the NFL wanted you to lose, because simply acknowledging that the outcome of a game like that is statistically random is too much to handle.

I don’t believe in games being fixed. Refs are human and make mistakes. But they were bad today, we got bailed out big time a few times. The one with Funch, and the 3rd and 1 to CMC at the end. That was not a 1st down and was not even reviewed lol ... my problem is why even bother calling that with no timeout. Norv out-Shula-ed Shula and we somehow still won. May be this is a special year who knows

He got a first down.  Very clear on replay.
