Anderson been through in my opinion. He has been bad for a while. I’m glad he’s not here anymore and giving a young guy a chance.

I'd agree with that.

To be clear, I say that's what I think we would have done. Not necessarily what I think we should have done.

Hopefully, it's not a situation that arises either way.

I had previously figured that if anything happened to Cam Newton, we'd reach out to Anderson rather than rolling with Taylor Heinicke.

That's not an option now.

I had thought that too and it may be correct. I also figured that in addition to his decline, maybe the staff decided to make a clean break since we had a new OC and largely new WR group. If you have to teach somebody a bunch of new stuff, might as well be somebody who can be here for a while. Heinicke being with Norv in Minnesota, knows this offense better than DA.

I heard he throws a more catchable ball

To be honest, he probably does. Receivers would tell you it's not that tough to catch a pass from a guy like Peyton Manning. On the flipside, being on the other end of a pass from a guy like Brett Favre is a lot like trying to catch a cannonball.

All that said, the problem with Anderson over the last few years was that he threw a lot more interceptable ball. And the ones he threw to our own team might have been more "catchable", but they'd have to have been in the general vicinity of the receiver for us to be able to prove that.

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats win it all or at least get there. Maye is awesome.
    • Young quarterbacks Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and Bryce Young have led their teams to undefeated records since October.   Drake Maye has guided the New England Patriots to a 5-0 record in that period, with 2,285 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. Bo Nix has directed the Denver Broncos to a 5-0 stretch, throwing for 1,976 yards and 17 touchdowns, contributing to a 7-2 overall start. Bryce Young, in his second season, has led the Carolina Panthers to a 4-0 run since October, accumulating 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns amid a 4-4 record.   Undefeated QBs since start of October (min. 4 starts)   Drake Maye 5-0 Bo Nix 5-0 Bryce Young 4-0   Bryce Young when asked about his mindset during game winning drives: "You don’t rise to the occasion you fall back to the level of your training."
    • 1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
