Cam Newton = Blake Bortles

Just because you or anyone has an opinion doesn’t mean it’s a valid opinion.

the ability to articulate and back up your argument with third party facts and information is what makes an opinion valid.

So just because you are think something doesn’t make it right.

(A lot of the people on the huddle need to figured that out)

I heard that guy on the way to work this morning. They shut his dumbass down tho.

It started with some guy on twitter who tweeted T-Bone and Mac saying that Cam was Blake Bortles. (I missed them announce who the user was). Then a caller called "Carolina Brian" who has a history of calling after any loss and blaming it on Cam's performance (and mysteriously stopped calling during the 2015 season) sort of tried to back up the twitter guy saying that Cam's more "athletically gifted" than Blake but they are the same in terms of passing ability.

The only thing that redeemed the segment is that they read SCP's tweet saying that Cam makes people stupid.

I've just stopped listening to WFNZ and now trash takes like this rarely enter my life. It's amazing.

I'm assuming that you don't read twitter, facebook, or the comments section of any article mentioning the Panthers. Or have any coworkers who are Cowboy, Steelers, or Redskins fans who come up with these too hot for radio takes.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
