By what logic? Because Moose had one of his best seasons a year before and a contract year? Stop trying to make Delhomme out to be more than he was and that's a game manager.

I never thought of Jake was a game manager.

Almost every pass, my internal self was like....oh poo, don't do it Jake!  Then would be like, great job Jake!

Jake Delhomme had a lot of Favre to his game.  He didn't have the rocket arm or any of that.  But he had the fug it approach.  Let's see what happens.

The difference between Cam and Jake is that Cam is an athlete and is big strong and would excel in any sport. Jake wouldn't even stand out if you didn't know who he was. He was not athletic, couldn't run or elude anyone but he had magic ESP with Smitty and just could throw the ball where it needed to be until he shredded his arm. He won on desire and fire willing a victory. Cam on the other hand has the tools to excel and it took a few years for him to really come into his own.

probably my favorite play in Panther history was the bootleg Jake ran vs Washington to seal the game and found himself one on one vs the the defender.   Jake got the first down.

Your claim that Delhomme was primarily good because of Moose. He was a game manager, and a damn good one. He also brought us back for a lot of victories. That jacksonville game he entered in for Rodney Peete. That was all Delhomme.

Doesn't matter though, its just perspective.

He's really not but it's the best label for him. He was never the time of QB who could take subpar talent and make them better but when giving a good run game and WRs he made some spectacular plays.

TO THOSE WHO CARE ABOUT THE ACTUAL TOPIC OF THIS THREAD!

RR said in the press conference that it is just general soreness. Just gave him a vet day, basically. Said he was fine and that Cam was upset about not being able to go full today.

You mean the stuff covered in the first page of the thread.

Most of what @lightsout said was not on the first page. No one cited Rivera saying Cam was just basic soreness. That Cam was upset for not being a full go. Or that it was basically a Vets day off.

So your assertion is not correct.

    • I’m old enough to remember when I wanted to draft Njoku We brought back Mitchell and officially kept Tremble. Mitchell Evans isn’t going anywhere. Sanders who knows, he was awful last year I fully agree we need a better TE. This room is awful Njoku would be a massive help in the red zone. However it really seems like Dan and the FO prefer to go young on offense
    • You’re underselling Loveland imo. He’s so damn good. You can line him out wide and count on him to win 1 v 1. I don’t see that from Sadiq. Loveland is going to go over 1000 yards next season I’m not overly asking for a WR3. It’s just one of the few directions Morgan could go in round 1.  Let’s say Thieneman, Fano and Cooper are all on the board it’s a tough decision. I just don’t see how this team would take Sadiq over some of those guys given the way they run their offense. Our tight end room is easily bottom of the league so I can definitely see why someone would want a tight end though. At one point during the season I was on the Sadiq train as well. I just don’t think value wise for us specifically it makes sense given our team as a whole As far as tight ends go in this draft I really like Max Klare. Very smooth mover
    • Some of you need some serious help with the way 9 lives rent free in your heads I know for a fact, Dan loves Bryce. Bryce is his guy. This offense is very young and they’re asking Bryce to do a lot. With Idzik taking over playcalling duties it’s a move that is another step in the process of Bryce taking control of the offense. 24 years old. This youth movement on offense and putting more on 9’s shoulders is going to pay off in the long run
