Even Ron won't mess with this line's chemistry.

Who are we kidding? Yeah, he would

If he puts him out there to replace Clark, he should be fired on the spot. Just based on their play.

But being that Kalil would cost us an extra 7M if he gets seriously hurt, if Ron/Hurney should be shot.

All I could find was comment by Jourdan Roudrique when asked a couple days ago.

“I think the question then isn’t whether we’ll see Kalil back on the field this year (which I doubt, aside from an emergency), but whether he will be a part of the Panthers’ big picture plans after the season”

He could have been practicing for weeks. And hasn’t even tried. This is “knee soreness”. When is the last time you didn’t know almost exactly what is wrong with a player. We know everything about Daryl Williams. Both times. And he leaves for two months with “cramps” and forces Williams to play with a legit  Ive gotten to the point to where it’s really hard for me to believe he didn’t quit, sort of. Which is a fitting end to a dark day in Panthers history.

I wonder if he just doesn't retire next year. That would seem too easy though.

    • Is there any real statistical evidence of this beyond anecdotal things like washed vets signing with the Chiefs or Pats every once in a while?  it doesn't really hold up.  Everyone gets paid in FA.  Everyone gets paid on 2nd contracts.  Its just how it is.  Do you think Icky would make less in FA than he would with a Panther extension?  Is that what's being implied?
    • Fitts fuged up the Burns contract by not taking the trade. He lost his leverage at that point. That level offer was for a top 3 complete edge rusher which Burns never was. It should never have been a debate. Take the Rams offer if we weren't going to pay Burns that type of contract.  Icky should get paid. Where it will get interesting is when/if Bryce demands an extension after this year. If he follows the trend of 1st round QBs drafted and immediately starting for their team, and still with them, end of 3rd year is extension time. If Bryce demands his 45-50m per season and Morgan/Tepper pays it, I see Icky starting for someone else and us looking to the draft or FA market for a new LT.
    • Ickey has earned a good new contract obviously. We do need to draft a RT maybe in the 2026 draft.
