Ron just staked his career (and potentially the season) on that playcall

I’d be saying that we just put the Lions into 4 down territory with over a minute to play. With our horrendous defense, that’s the last thing we need. Had there have been 20 or fewer seconds left in the game, going for 2 is the perfect decision. Doing it while Detroit still has time and multiple timeouts is ridiculous

trust me, I’m under the belief teams generally shouldn’t punt with under 4 yards to go, and should regularly go for 2, but there are instances in which it’s a terrible decision. Whether we converted or not, this was one of them.

Detroit is playing at home and had all 3 timeouts, they would have been driving to get into FG range for the win anyway, especially with a kicker like Prater.

not putting the loss on Cam because that drive should have been for the go ahead TD anyway but if he doesnt airmail that pass we win

Fug you. "Not putting the loss on Cam" but you'll sure hang it on a kicker.

If you need a FG to beat the Lions today, your team has bigger problems than the kicker.

It's time to move on from Rivera.   It's just time.     He's been mediocre for years and a lot of us knew this back then but finally, everyone is now waking up.   You don't keep coaches forever.     He's sucked the life out of this team and the fans.

2-points was the right call. It just didn't work out in execution. Blame Gano for being poop all game, or Cam for the overthrow.

I rarely defend Rivera but this wasn't a bad call.

LOL, it might be the worst call he has ever made.
