When everyone all of a sudden looks like trash under a new coordinator, is it more likely that everyone turned to trash over the course of a single off-season or is it more likely that the new coordinator is trash?

It can be both.

Peppers is ancient, Luke might be a step slow, Davis is ancient, KK is invisible, and Poe is likely worse than Star.

Team got old quick. And Luke is looking lost out there.

Bad management can make both things look that way. Everything falling apart at the same time and weaknesses turning into glaring weaknesses when there is a change of management can usually and rightly be attributed to problems with management.

We are just a terrible team.

Not buying it.  Think we are a good team with an offense that is on the cusp of being great along with a defense not too far removed from being great in the past.

The team is good. The management is bad. The players are good enough to get into the playoffs. Management will be the thing that keeps us from going far.

Yes I believe the talent is there but we have not been a very convincing team this year. If anything it proves Cam needs a good OC and our defense needs a good DC. Still is Ron the guy who is going to put that all together?

I think cam has that good OC. The OL is starting to wear out and we were far to nice to Funchess last week being more interested in giving him a chance to redeem himself than pulling out a win.

I think it ultimately all falls on Rivera holding the reigns on the whole wagon. He's a guy that has always had more faith in the defense than offense and feels that defense is the key to winning games, plus he made the mistake of trusting Washington to run the D adequately.

He hasn't figured out that the best way to win is to score....a lot. I don't he ever does which is why we need to move on.

The offense has gotten much better than under Shula which is why I think the only coaching group that should stay is the offense minus maybe the OL coach.

We get a good offensive minded HC, though, who can continue to build around this offense of hybrids that we currently have and I'm fine moving on from the Turner's.

Short of getting into and maybe winning the Superbowl, I don't think there's any way I would go into the 2019 season with Rivera holding the reigns anymore.

Well the thing is that our OL was figured out. Now everyone knows they can't handle exotic stunts and confusion. It's a direct result of Clark and Van Rotten being on that side. With that said it's not really the major problem. Look at a team like the Saints or the Rams.

They know two things. One that their offense can score and two their defense is not as good as their offense. So what they do is become really aggressive on defense going for pressure and turnovers because they know even one turnover is going to give their offense the advantage. They also know that one stop or FG gives them 4 more points every possession.

Rivera on the other hand has his defense set up to limit the offensive on both sides of the ball by limiting the big play. It's a stupid idea this year because the rules are so geared to the offense that it keeps Cam out of the red one and weak offenses in the game. On the flip side our offense is geared to take as much time as possible as well and that limits our trips to the red zone while allowing teams to set up complex blitzes. That's just on top of poor time management and personal decisions.

I honestly think this will lead to a loss Sunday and ultimately losing out on the wild card.

You think Washington just created a whole new playbook out of nowhere? We just don’t have the D line.  KK is trash, Poe is trash and our edge guys are skeletons.

What possible specific thing (in terms of playcalling) could Ron do that Washington isn’t?

How many d-linemen returned from last year? Wilks had practically the same lineup with very different results...hmm
