i had to take a half a week off this board because rivera and his defenders here had me mad to a point of unhealthiness. i'm back, calmer, and its nice the fire ron bandwagon is filling up, and it sucks too.    where is iamhubby with his rivera love now?   but, waaaaaaah, it could get worse, waaaaaaaaah.  cam has been a job saver and that needs to end.

Yup, that stood out to me, especially after he was praised by some fans for "going for the win" last week. That was loser ball, from a loser coach with a loser mentality.

Can't even blame Gano, his coach basically told him last week he couldn't trust him to make a PAT. I'm sure that was on his mind when he went out there today.

I think Rivera deserves all criticism for this season but all that was on Gano. It’s not the teams fault he’s an unreliable tease of a kicker. He’s cost us at least 2 games this year and trashed our 2016 season. Gano is basically a coin flip every kick.

Of course he didn't play for a field goal. He also didn't call those plays, Turner did.

I do agree, Turner called those plays.  However, I am pretty sure Rivera said something like "We need to burn some clock here".  The problem was, we weren't yet in the right situation.  At the 20?  Ok, yea, let's burn some clock and collect some Seattle TO's.  But seriously, at the Seattle 40?  Nah, let's drive that crap in until we are at less than an extra point worth of distance and THEN burn some clock.  Better yet, let's score a TD and force Seattle to drive the field *and* finish with a TD.

The stupidity on this board after a loss is embarrassing.

He's only been playing for a field goal for 7 years.    We've had a few OC's in that time, but yet, Ron always plays for that field goal, he is the common denominator.

I said the same thing about burning clock but that has nothing to do with settling for a field goal simply trying to get a first down which would have burned their time outs and let us control the clock. We let McCaffrey run on first down which is understandable given he averaged 8 yards a carry and then threw it twice. How does that have anything to do with going for field goal. Do you think if anyone was open deeper Cam wouldn't have thrown it. Your line of thinking makes no sense.

fire him.

Ron Rivera doesn't make offensive calls. Furthermore, not only are you playing in that position to score, but you're also playing to run clock. If the Panthers were trailing, you can go gungho in that situation and dial up the aggression, however the idea is to leave as little time as possible while also trying to score. It really is a catch-22 but if Gano makes the field goal, this thread is never created.

What a stupid tweet.  In games that are close, logic would dictate that you would be around .500.

What kind of logic? You have a hypothesis but unless you want to put it all in a spreadsheet and enter all data, I'd recommend that you not make decisions based on what seems mathematically logical.
