I was pondering something today. Are Cam and Rivera a package deal? I hear that tepper is gearing up to make a major shake up and I hope for all it’s worth that if changes are made in the coaching staff and management, I hope Newton stays. He was drafted when Ron was hired so people automatically pair them together. Cam has been the best thing that happened to this franchise and I want him to retire a Panther. If big changes are made , I hope we decide to build a mammoth of an offensive line to help to protect our franchise. I think Tepper is a smart guy and still will build around Cam. But ...we will see. It’s his era now

No they’re not a package. If cam can get his shoulder better and passin ability on track I see no reason he can’t be built around as a franchise qb. Really hope he is utilized more intelligently with a new coach though.

I really hope cutting a player has nothing to do with being a fan favorite. Dear god this franchise has been crippled for years with this mentality.

No more so than McCarthy/Rodgers. Rodgers is going nowhere with the Packers' coming coaching shakeup and neither is Cam. You don't part ways with franchise QBs because of a coaching change.

Cam is in no danger of being cut, unless his shoulder is shot and they are forced to.  Now I wouldn't be surprised if the new staff doesn't draft a better backup plan in the next two drafts just to be safe. 

But no, Ron and Cam are not a package deal.
