Rivera is a good coach. He will have another job very soon after he leaves here. But even good coaches can grow old and stale and need a change of scenery. It's best for cam and the team to move on

Bahhhh he's only a good coach when he's about to get fired. He has gotten two GMs fired. One because the GM had to make the tough calls Rivera wouldn't. Fact is he rode a talened team to a mediocre record.

How dare you say that about the 2 time coach of the year??? Do you doubt his powers??

I mean, after all those years where media pundits constantly pointed out how wonderful a job Rivera did getting what he could out of that miserable, terrible, no talent, self gratifying, constantly celebrating QB they saw Cam as im sure Rivera would be just the man to save the day!!!

So Ron goes to Tampa, their defense looks like our 2013 defense and Jameis wins a Super Bowl,...

and we get Hue Jackson,.. and get the number 1 pick in the next 3 drafts in a row,.. which is what a hedge fund manager like Tepper might do...

play the long game,.. stack up your team until a fire is built,.. then fire your first pick winning coach for a coach that can handle all that low cap talent and have 100 million to spend,..

oh,. That’s the Browns— Ron takes Tampa to the Super Bowl and we get Suck for Luck the next 3 years,..

If you really think Rivera is winning a SB at this point you need to also do less meth. I was a huge fan of his early on but he hasn't improved since 2013 with personal decisions and clock management.

Know who else got another job shortly after he was let go from his original head coaching gig?

George Seifert

John Gruden is also proving Terrible coaches get many chances. Hey let's face it Rivera is better than Steve Wilks and he got a job after one season as a DC.

One thing is for sure, the Panthers will always have a chance to win playing against a Ron "no killer instinct" Rivera coached team.

We know if Ron gets a lead of 3 points or more he'll throttle back on offense, go soft on defense and waste his timeouts.

So at least the Panthers would have that going for them if Ron ends up in Tampa, which is kinda nice.
