Rivera said that Cam is not going on IR, so I'm a bit confused.

Heinicke is going to start. Who is his backup?

Sure seems like Cam is going to be asked to step in if something happens to Heinicke.

This is pure bullshit. Cam should be put on IR and his shoulder given top priority. I don't care if the bagger from Food Lion is the backup, but how do you justify putting Cam in uniform AT ALL?

Idiots.

Again, this entire organization is being run by a bunch of hillbilly bumbling buffoons.

Cam is being inactivated but not being put on IR. How stupid is that? No one even cares about their star QB's health. It's all about Ron and the 0.00004% chance of making the playoffs.

PFT reported that they plan to promote Kyle Allen from the practice squad.

That'll mean somebody else is getting dumped from the main roster.

This will be Ron's new excuse as to why we missed the playoffs. He has a new one every time it happens, as if Cam playing with a broken shoulder has anything to do with Ron's clock management, knowing when to take timeouts vs. not, when to throw challenge flags, when to go for it on 4th down, etc.

Cam being injured IS the reason we are missing the playoffs. It's actually impressive we stayed within 7 points the last 5 weeks with a QB who can't throw.

True, but it is disappointing that it took this long to address your starting QB's debilitating health issue which has been glaringly obvious for the last 6 weeks.

No, actually he's not.  Ron and his defense are the main reason they are missing the playoffs.  Newton's condition was just the cherry on top.

True, the defense until Monday night has been horrible.

The frustrating part is in both instances defense/offense Rivera had the ability to address these shortcomings and chose to wait until the season was lost and much effort on the part of the staff and players was wasted.

This isn't really news. This was to be expected.

lol only if you haven't been paying attention to anything.

Rivera said he wasn't going to sit Cam now all the sudden he has to sit.

Literally the opposite of expected.

    • I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.
    • Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.
