Players that we need to get rid of to get better.

Most of these are obvious, but all credibility is lost (OP and posters) if you assume Bradberry needs to go.  He takes on the oppositions #1 every week and has one of the lowest completion percentage.  He is a pretty good tackler.  We need a better Nickel and SS, but our outside CBs were and are fine.

Bradberry is fine, if the opportunity strikes during the draft, I can see us moving him to the #2cb, Shaq is set to be paid too much for a slightly above average lb, so a long term deal with a lower cap hit us preferred, I mean Butler is worth the backup spot if anything

Bradberry is a #1 CB and stats don’t lie.

I agree we need some changes, and definitely need to get younger. But who are replacing all these guys with? Where are we finding the upgrades? Just asking.

Yep, and what about the dead money cap hit....further impacting our ability to sign all the ample upgrades running around...

Bradberry is easily one of the best CBs we’ve drafted in a long time. Him and Jackson are going to be a great duo for years.

The similarities between James bradberry and Chris gamble are amazing. Both keep their mouth shut and play and both don’t get the credit they deserve.

shaq, Bradbury, Funch, t Smith...would be very cautious about losing them, even though they have not performed to expectations

How in the world has Bradberry 'not performed to expectations'? Comments like this are incredible... the guy has consistently been containing top-tier receivers all year and the NFC South has elite receivers on every team the Panthers play. He isn't Champ Bailey-level but he is a very, very solid starting CB.

Here, a stat about passes defended, show Bradberry  in the Jalen Ramsey, Joe Haden, Denzel Ward, and Dre Kirpatrick range.

Last year, his completion percentage when targeted was second only to Fuller (Bears) who is the best CB in football, if you ask me.

BUT I understand the frustration.  The Panthers currently rank 26th in the NFL as a team in the area of completion percentage against, allowing over 67%--about 3% higher than in 2017.  I blame the following:  Munnerlyn, Adams,  Searcy/New FS, a rookie #2 CB, Thompson and Davis.  Let's not forget the absence of a pass rush without blitzing.

Bradberry is NOT the problem--you build around him.  That is how wrong you are if you think he should be cut.

He’s held Evans to 60 yards in two games. Thomas to under 50 yards. AJ Green to under 60 yards. Julio to 64 yards. And 0 TDs to all 4 of them. He’s faced a number of other great WRs with little safety help, having to play way off at times and no pressure until Monday.

This place amazes me with the myths that are perpetuated about specific players. I like Donte but he got abused during the losing stretch until Monday and people love him. Bradberry was great his rookie year and been solid this year and people want to replace him. Good luck.

How bout that Steelers game bruh? Seachickens, Browns, Lions all worked him over too. You're also looking at games from like September. Yeah, it was a group effort against the Taints but they also have no other WR outside of Thomas. Julio will probably go off on Sunday. Tampa also loves using Humphries against us so Evans doesn't get all the looks.
