Are the Panthers best suited for a West coast offense now?

If Cam Newton's shoulder doesn't hold up , should the Panthers look at a West coast system long term with a QB that fits the scheme?

Looking at the current roster though, it looks like a West coast roster minus the QB.

What do we call what we run now ?   Norv West Coast Coryell ? Has a ring to it , Just saying -----

Always seemed we ran a hybrid west coast offense.

West Coast offenses also need mobile QBs (got that...maybe) but they're heavy on timing routes, something that isn't Newton's forte.

Not sure our OL is best suited to that kind of attack either.  You generally need quicker, more agile linemen.

Doesn't matter what they run if Cam can't stretch the field at times. It's a healthy Cam or God help us.

I like Norv's offense with or without Cam. I think that Allen proved that this offense can be productive without Cam at the helm. We finally have the weapons and scheme to take the strain off the quarterback so they don't have to be Superman. Seem many teams use concepts from several schemes making it hard to categorize as purely one type or another.

The best thing for Cam to do is sit out a year and let his shoulder heal and let Rivera kill some other QBs career.
