People always say the worst NFL team can still beat the best college team, but I think Clemson could give the 2018 Panthers a run for their money.

A professional team is made up of the best from college. Pros are generally stronger and their bodies are more developed. Moreover, many times the professional coaching ranks are stocked with world class, experienced talent. Everything is basically better overall. Any pro team will destroy any college team.

About the first time one of our 25-30 year old D-linemen get to put a NFL hit on a 18 year old freshman you'd wish you never asked such a hypothetical.

Edit:

If you took all the best players from every team in CFB and put them together and graded them out for each position to assemble the best possible team of 100 hell, give them 200 players, they would still at best, be...

the upcoming Draft Class.

That would be like saying 53 ants could beat 53 shoes.

It wouldn’t matter how much better the coach is.

actually the worst NFL team can play it’s backups and practice squad like a preseason game and still stomp the best college team with their best roster.

people said the Iraqi Army was the 5th in the world, bla bla bla... 2 months later Saddams statue was coming down.

that much better.

    • Damn Logan Jones had a good day too. Was high on him coming in as he anchored that top Iowa line and is a fire plug inside. He's gonna be 25 to start the season so maybe he slips into the 4th but I doubt it, even if C isn't a premium position. His play on the field was top notch and the combine boosted it again. Arm length is about the only knock. But guy is plug and play at C.   This is a loaded class at C. Need to grab one.
    • Bryce will be permanently replaced by a draft pick. There's not another Sam Darnold out there to save us. Tepper is going to see this throw because he dumped Mayfield and Darnold too soon. He's going to give it 1 more year before he will sign off on dumping another 1st round pick qb. Thats the cold hard truth of it. It doesn't mean we can't get younger and much better at the backup position.
    • Maybe I should have used a different word and saved that for me. I want someone that has something impressive about them.  Someone that has potential to supplant a guy who is producing 25th best type of numbers. 22nd, 27th all that bottom third neighborhood.  I don’t know where that will come from it just can’t be from even a 4th round pick this year IMO. Unless FA is crazy productive.    I’ll give Bryce a better than bottom rating for his playoff game. Well above low twenties. But at least half of his games were bottom third level. Probably 2/3 to 3/4 of them were.
