Eric Reid takes issue with Voth’s article

Glad Reid has Kaps back, would hate to pick him up. He is a one read and run quarterback and less accurate than Cam and he hasn't played in over 2 years. Then the gall to ask 20 million which is starter money for someone who hasn't started in years and wasn't good when he did once Harbaugh stopped schemed around his multiple limitations. I can definitely see why no one wants him even without the protest issues. Reid is a different story altogether.

Just for clarification he only asked the AAF for 20 million, correct? Mainly bc it take that much for him to play in that league. I’m sure he would take a 5-7 mil contract on a prove it deal.

Unpopular opinion. Voth is quickly overtaking Gantt as the most smug prick in the journalism Pantherverse. I would love to punch both in the face.

He told the truth. Kapernick was never that good. Reid is dumb because Kap did get beat out by Gabbert. Kap will never play again. He got paid like he wanted because he couldn't make the money being an NFL QB.

Wasnt it already confirmed that Kaep never asked AAF for $20M?

That price? At least $20 million, according to the Associated Press’s Barry Wilner, who said he got that information from a person with “knowledge of the conversation” between Kaepernick and the fledgling league.

BUT, the AAF standard contract is 3 years.

    • well, players dictating things only works if you have the right collection of players to dictate things.  and in all honesty, not sure if we can answer if we do or don't as fans given......there are no Thomas Davis types around that we know are actually about X and Y (based on years showing it).  Collective team is too new to us to know what these dudes are really about in terms of players carrying the burden of culture.
    • Moore can be put in one of the vet spots on IR. No one will be checking for him at the start of the season. But I would be very perturbed if we tried to go all Gettlemagic and stash an obvious talent like Horn on practice squad like we did Butker. If we can get through this year, next year it will be obvious Moore and AT will be gone, starting namely with AT's contract.
    • Culture change comes from the top down, not from drafting a 3 and no D guard. I doubt Lamelo is gonna take his cues from this 20yr old kid lol. If Brandon Miller couldn’t change the culture with how good he is and how much he hustles on both ends, Kon Knueppel sure as hell ain’t changing it. Ace Bailey by all accounts is also a great teammate and hard worker, btw, who was drafted by a team he supposedly didn’t want to go to yet he immediately bought in. And he’s got actual length and tools on both ends of the floor. I feel this pick is going to age like milk rather quickly.
