Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is heading into the final year of his contract, and he thinks his next deal may be the biggest in NFL history.

Asked by Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Showif he anticipates getting the biggest contract ever, Wilson said he thinks it’s likely.

“There’s a great potential of that,” Wilson said. “It would be fun.”

The biggest contract ever given to a phony cuck.

He may be a phony cuck but he’s a proven great QB. As much as I want to knock him on the field I can’t. He’s been pretty great thus far.

Here is the reality--soon people will refuse to pay the QB 20% of the cap--cutting corners elsewhere to pay a good--not great--player.  We all know the qb is the most important player in sports,  but if their pay sacrifices the quality of skill players around them and protection in front of them, I  wonder when owners will start going after college QBs on first year contracts?

If I were them I would trade him, get as much as I could and choose a new QB.

Seattle was winning when Russell was cheap,.. and just like clockwork, went bad when his(and others and others injuries— not putting it all on him) contract turned huge.

This isn’t baseball, there’s a salary cap. If you want to make more money— get transcendent and become a brand.

I'd have to agree it's getting to a point where the bubble is going to burst.

A lot of the QBs who got blockbuster contracts don't have championships to show for it.

The biggest until the next QB signs, I guess that could be Cam

This year will determine a lot.  Shoulder--and  Cam has taken  a beating.  You have to wonder if they will reconsider a  long-term investment in a 31-year old, battered QB.  As he ages, his threat to run decreases; RBs hit the wall around 28.  How effective will he be when they can shadow him with a defensive Tackle?  I am thinking like a skeptical GM, but this is business that will impact your franchise for a half decade.  Love and feelings are for another place and time.
