Hrm...the Panthers seem to be meeting with a LOT of DEs for some reason...

Smoke screen??????????????????????????????

I'd be cool with Sweat at 16.

We have to trade up if we want him. Most mocks have him as a top 10 pick.

Let's remember that mocks are not always super accurate.  I've seen Sweat anywhere from 8 to 28.  It just depends on who is doing the mock, which isn't the same as a NFL team.  I mean, he could go #1 if someone loves him that much.  I've seen some comps to Jadevon Clowney due to his great explosion and straight line speed, but lack of bend and flexibility.  With the heart thing, that could drop him like it did for Star.  16 is a possibility.

It isn’t. We need DE/3-4 OLB/Edge/whatever we want to call pass rushers like crazy.

I was attempting to be funny (poorly I guess).  Tis the season for that kind of silliness from fans and teams.  We totally need pass rushers like crazy, and I'd be thrilled with Sweat if he last, or anyone else.

There are mocks having him go top 5 or even top 3.

The only way we get him is if everyone is wrong and he drops to us.

then I would cring that everyone else passed and Hurney went all “Trouble with the Curve”

everyone painfully remembers how he was when the most “Pro ready Quarterback in the draft” dropped.

we got Munsoned with Pickled Pigs feet,..

    • It shows how short the actual span of a NFL career actually is.  We get caught up with the few guys that play until 40-years old, but that's an extraordinary tiny fraction of the League.  What you may or may not have intentionally done there is show how we quickly move off guys like that but are stubbornly hanging onto Bryce.  His new running mate, Kenny Pickett, drafted just one year earlier is already on his 4th or 5th team.  Kenny isn't horrible, but he's not good enough to be a franchise QB.  Some franchises get it, chalk it up as a miss and move on.  Others double down on trying to make things work until the relationship completely deteriorates. *cough* Dolphins and Cardinals *cough*
    • Winner of 7 vs 8 seed game gets 7th seed. Loser of that game plays against winner of 9 vs 10 seed game. Winner of that game (loser of 7 vs 8 against winner of 9 vs 10) gets 8th seed. So in reality if you make it to the 7 vs 8 game, it’s win and in for your team. Lose that game and you get another shot at getting in. If you have to play the 9 vs 10 game, lose once you are gone. Win the first game as a 9 vs 10 competitor and you still have to win again to get in.
    • DJ Chark, Hayden Hurst, and Bradley Bozeman all started for the Carolina Panthers during Bryce Young’s rookie season. All 3 have announced retirement after two years.  Scott Fitterer was that bad.   And his #1 receiver Thielen also just retired
