Gil Brandt calls Daniel Jones "the same guy" as...

Mr. Scot

Honestly, it's a really lazy comparison based on the Cutcliffe link.

Possibly.

I'm not really that high on Jones, but a lot of analysts are so who knows?

Referencing my previous thread, I think quarterback is absolutely the most difficult position to evaluate when it comes to drafting.

Taking away the like him or not factor, they're just very different players.

Peyton's arm was never really all that strong.

It was strong enough to accurately hit any downfield pass he ever needed to make. Cam (before injuries) and Mahomes and some of these guys can chuck the ball further than Peyton ever could but really that doesn’t even matter.

I’m not saying his arm was Josh Allen but, Payton had a respectable armC06E85FF-B7FA-47A3-A7FA-FFD0BA306143.thumb.jpeg.67795d6b01ccd8384063c2a863d7fc22.jpegbut in the case of Daniel Jones people like to point out his arm as a weakness... not the same as with Manning.86F4B98E-0F7E-4B1D-8F03-745AE29E3C84.thumb.jpeg.f9c93ff0abd95e149b15173827ad30c9.jpeg

    • Can't tolerate Mac Jones, fug that sumbitch
    • Bryce deserved the criticism he got (and gets).  He is improving, and the criticism becomes less frequent and less severe when that happens.   TMac is a huge factor, as Dowdle.  These two players, along with the highest paid OL in the NFL, has made him better. We can build around a QB on a rookie contract.  How will he do when his salary quadruples?  Less money for OL, WRs, and defensive players.   Nobody talks about the cap--but it is a real factor. Morgan is building a solid team.  I want Bryce to succeed.  He is a tremendous human being.  However, when he sucks, I am not going to kiss his ass.
    • To have a slump you have to before be good at some point. Unfortunately XL is a liability and has been since he has stepped foot on the field. Sucks because I like the person, just not the player. Maybe he’ll put it together, but it’ll prob be somewhere else. Coker is easily the #2 at this point.
