Ding Ding we have a winner!

If Cam shoulder is done this pick becomes a waste because his replacement will be in the 1st round next year. Baker Mayfield couldn't lead the Browns to the playoffs and he was the #1 pick.lol

People seriously think Will Grier will lead us to the playoffs?lol

People underestimate how stacked our receiving core is.  It's built where just about any QB could come in and put up decent yardage.  McCaffrey pretty much assures you an easy 5 yard pass half the time.  Moore and Samuel are crafty and can get open.  Are we really acting like Cam played like a top QB last season?

Ok, ok. If you told me after the first three rounds we'd have Burns, Little, and Grier I'd be extremely satisfied.

We had 4 picks, and got 3 players. We could have gotten an Olineman at 47, Chase Winovich at 77, a safety at 100, and got Grier at 115.

Can't make fun of Atlanta after today.

I agree that Allen showed we had a capable backup but it seemed like the coaches still preferred Heinenke for some god forsaken reason.  This at least avoids that potential ordeal.

They’ve shown their not always right about everything. Didn’t let Norwell play until injury. Didn’t start Norman when we needed his skills. Fox pulled the same poo Moore was clearly better than Jake Delhomme. Probably would have saved his job if Moore starts the season in 09

All these other teams, including the Patriots and Packers, have taken multiple QBs since 2011. But according to many of you, the Panthers shouldn’t only because they have Cam Newton.

No. Its because we have many holes and Grier isn't anyone special.

I loves Allen's performance against the Saints. But let's remember he got hurt in his only start. Same as Heinicke. I think they like a big guy like Grier and think neither of the guys we have are durable enough. I wonder how their rehabs are going. Maybe the Panthers know something about Allen and Heinicke that we don't.

not only.  Patriots are a winning team with not a lot of holes and can affordmto draft a future trade piece in a backup qb.  Thee players on the board who can contribute to this team this year.

    • I'm not a huge fan of BY, but he does have some clutchness developing
    • While you're correct, people are just sick of being told, "you don't understand this, you're dumb" despite what their eyes say. This applies to the Panthers and anything else in life. This board can be a miserable place, but this isn't the old days anymore because Social Media & Reddit have hijacked old-school forum users.  I have in the last year or so taken a massive step back from Social Media & Reddit. Deleted accounts on both, I only have X/Twitter now. But I was looking for an outlet for Panthers talk and I did not want to do that on X much at all. There are only two legitimate outlets for that I've found, here and SB Nation. SB Nation I used to partake in, but they absolutely bumble-f*cked the comments section, and I like the setup of the posts + comments, as opposed to article + comments. Also, as others have pointed out, being a Panthers fan has been a horrendous existence since Cam left. Just an awful crew of coaches, draft picks, trading away great players, etc. It's been miserable.  Ever since Tepper bought the team, I hoped that he commit to a full rebuild. He never did, he thought there were shortcuts and so did Rhule. This hamstrung us for years, and then he massively overstepped with the BY trade.  This ruined the team building, because there was no depth, and then it ruined nuanced BY discussions because of the insane haul we gave up. He will never live up to that, I think many people are finally wrapping their heads around that now which is good. The best thing for this board to get better is for the Panthers to win more, draft well, and to stay committed to crawling through this Andy Dufrense poop-pipe to escape the depths of NFL hell. It will be ugly and stink along the way, but you can see already this year if we commit to drafting then the team and the vibes can turn around quicker than you think.  I am extremely optimistic about the draft class this season, it's something to watch, talk about, and celebrate. It also gives Dan and I think by extension Dave Canales more of a leash, which I think we need to give them and grant them the time to turn this boat around.
