Yeah we're missing their Earle Thomas. Their most important piece will likely be played by Gaulden on the Panthers. Not quite the same level...

I'm pretty sure we are missing their entire secondary. Not sure any on our DB list would crack their starting lineup. Possibly as a nickel. I think we have the ability to be pretty decent secondary unit but that Legion on Boom unit was INSANE that year and for years after.

Honestly, Bradberry is tailor-made for Seattle's press and bail version of cover 3. Press is what he does best. Playing 10 yards off the LOS is what he does worst and seems to be what we ask of him the most.

I really like Bradberry as a physical corner.  If we can get away from the idea of Left and Right and go to the concept of matchups, having a Bradberry to pair with DJax gives us an excellent combination for our first two.

Absolutely. We have two corners who can both be very good at what they do, but their strengths and weaknesses are practically opposites. We can match up really well there against most teams if we actually match up. But if we play strict left/right then a lot of teams can move their WRs around to create major match up problems for us. Just look at N.O. for example. If they line up to create Ginn/Bradberry and Thomas/Jackson match ups... well, we better hope the pass rush gets home.

Where does he fit though? In Browner's spot?

Just now, Captain Morgan said:

actually he said the defensive front was comparable, not the whole defense.

"Speaking with Scott Fowler of The Charlotte Observer during minicamp, Irvin, unprompted, compared the Panthers' defensive line depth to the Seattle Seahawks' D that smothered teams en route to the Super Bowl XLVIII title."

That debate(whole defense) came from a comment here, not from what Irvin said.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
