Dude agreed to sit in studio and talk about the Panthers and his feuds on Twitter.

Said he doesn’t give a damn about the Panthers or Panther fans. Doesn’t care about the Hall of Honor or mending things with Tepper like Smitty did. Said he played football because he needed the money, not because he loved the sport.

Also said that after his mom died his whole outlook on life changed, wanted to concentrate on saving women from cancer.

Said the entire time he was in Carolina Cam wore a C on his jersey but was never voted captain

Has a real problem with Gettleman... loves Marty Hurney. Said Gettleman gets too much credit for the 2015 SB team.

Said Tomlin is a better coach than Rivera

Said he was mad about JR letting Olsen use the private plane and checking on his kid but did nothing when his mom died.

That's all good and well, but acting completely apathetic & salty to the organization that made you rich basically is unprofessional.  Opened doors for you to make a bigger impact in the fight against cancer.  Oh well, like @raz said, controversy gets attention & clicks.

He doesn't seem like a particularly compassionate person, and maybe it makes me a dick but I doubt he'd give a poo about cancer if it hadn't claimed his mom.  He strikes me as one of those people who only cares about something if it happens to directly intersect with his life in some way.

agreed

As for not loving football and only doing it for the money, that's whatever.  Curtis Martin wasn't really all that passionate about football but he doesn't come across like a massive chode.

Ricky Williams did it twice and he still seemed nice.

Brett Favre is a massive chode, did it ,idk, a hundred times and still didn't come off like this asshat.

curtis martin bought his deadbeat dad a home just so he could invite him in, show him around, get him excited, and then beat him half to death inside a property he owned so that the father couldn't press charges. like nearly murdered him.

honestly as i typed that out it became more badass.

    • Dalton is 1-5 as a starter. I wouldn't hold my breath.
    • That last thing is a bad trend. It has happened in three different seasons now. If it isn’t a trend, is it a tendency? Words…. What I mean is following a successful outing (and they are rare or scarce) with a stretch of bad outings.  The slow starts individually are slow starts. Looked at as continuations of the string that started game 1 2023, there is a pattern that may or may not be predictive.  The first game people said that he turned a corner, Green Bay 2023, was followed by those two shutouts to end the season.  Then continued with the two horrific outings that had AT throwing his helmet and Canales benching him. That’s 4 straight after 1 good.  The next one I would give him high credit for is the Atlanta game. One of his two best IMO.  He followed that with this year’s opening stinkers putting the team in a big hole.  It is so up, then back down.  His other best game was vs Dallas this year, I think the best he has played start to finish, he followed with an uninspiring performance against the Jets. I was half waiting on him to give that one away more than go win it, which was just a feeling, but then he got hurt. And here we are.  Just waiting for him to prove something if he can. He is going to have his shot the second half of the year. So we will see.
    • Before the Penix pick six, the panthers had run 8 plays for seven yards while up 10-0. That includes a 5 play, 13 yard drive out of halftime where Bryce threw incomplete on third down. In that exactly what canales wanted?
