That top 8 is rough.

That's why it's hilarious to see draft day reactions around here.   Go back and read the old ones.

Couple that with .. someone always says.." look at 5th round pick Joe Smo.  I thought knew we should pick him"..(funny how you can never find it written down anywhere too).

The draft is at most blackjack, at least roulette wheel.

As much as I dislike the Bucs, which is least out of our division rivals, we should send them a fruit basket or something for taking Barron at 7.

You wanna talk about dodging bullets like the matrix. That was the Carolina Panthers in the first round of the 2012 draft, and we managed to walk away with a generational talent.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
