Talk to me about beer

This is a solid choice. Tis the season. But I'll say literally anything by Southern Tier is worth the money. Haven't been disappointed yet.

However, I feel like @Jeremy Igo is a guy who has his health and fitness in mind, even when he's on a depression-induced drinking binge. So I'll share my current obsession. Dogfish Head Slightly Mighty:

It's Dogfish Head, who make beer that is beyond reproach. And while it's slight sour notes and refreshing taste make it solidly more of a back yard BBQ on a hot day kinda beer, I say embrace it. Soak up those last few weeks of Summer!

And at the low, low cost of only 3 Weight Watchers points per can, I can have 10 of these a day and still have points left over for...well, a hard-boiled egg and a celery stick. But after 10 beers do you really care?

This is probably the best one that’s been mentioned so far. The current Hop Circus is an excellent as well. HopCircus6_web.png

Or anything by Burial. https://burialbeer.com/

Burial takes the cake when it comes to beers in the past year or so.

Ommegang is a brewery that constantly hits it out of the park.

A couple of their year rounds easy to find are excellent - feeling like something deep rich and sipable for a whole half - go with three philosophers.  Want something a bit lighter w/ a hint of spice from farmhouse yeast go with Hennepin.

This Sunday I plan on sitting in front of my television and watching and entire day of NFL football whilst not caring about any of it.

Give me a beer that pairs perfectly with that.

The ultimate beer of not giving a fug is Bud Light, which I personally hate.

PBR is a great choice for not giving a fug as well.

Doesn't matter which beer, as long as there's plenty of it!

    • I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
