Glazer sez Cam is "refusing to run".

Has he even requested a new contract yet?

Obviously I don't know Newton personally, but he's never really seemed like a guy concerned with money.  Like it felt like he hit his contract extension with Gettleman easy.

I doubt he's thinking too hard about his next contract.  I think he just wants to play better.

Cams game is high risk high reward. Cam IS hero ball. He wants the ball. He should have the ball. He and his agent see the new QB contracts just signed. They were just scared that his shoulder was gone. They're not going to risk anything more unless ownership commits. It's a business. He has to protect himself for what may be his last contract IF he plays like Cam Newton. Stop the McCaffrey crap and pay the man NOW ahead of the price jump. He won't be holding back then.

McCaffrey is a pup that hasn't won anything yet. Stop with that best player sht. Its still Cam Newton and Luke, those are still the Panthers best players. All that McCaffrey is the best is similar to KB. KB was force fed to make him look like the solution, he wasn't.

You can’t seriously be comparing KB to CMC. Tell me you’re joking

I agreed with the call to give it to CMC to score. It wasn’t a bad play at all - it just didn’t work out.

A game never comes down to one play and winning the game shouldn’t always (every single time) come down to the last second like it always seems to with Rivera. That play isn’t the reason why the Panther’s lost. There were plenty of opportunities throughout the game.

And then there is Rivera, playing conservative all game then all of a sudden trying to go riverboat on the 50 on 4th down with time left on the clock all of a sudden. It’s like he doesn’t know when to be aggressive and when to hold back.

If true he should be listed on the weekly Injury Report.

The NFL is dead serious about the Injury Report and sanctions for violating the rules around it are serious --- Cam hasn't been on the Injury Report either week.

He doesn’t have to be on it if he fully participates in practices and is going to play in the game.

Yeah but this only makes sense if he's requested a new contract.  If it was that important to him to protect himself to the extent he refuses to run in a game, it would only make sense if he has already asked for a contract extension.

If Newton is refusing to run the ball, he's only hurting himself in regard to how much potential money he can make.  So this scenario just seems really unlikely.

If Cam is currently the best offensive player on the team, he hasn't shown it. Yesteryear don't mean poo anymore.

    • The entire OP is about the play calling and results and only mentioned T-Mac one time, in the sense of our offensive struggles only made me more frustrated about our #1 WR only getting a single 2nd half target in a game we were behind for the majority of it. How is that showing my true colors? It's way more of other people reading too much into it and thinking this is all and only about T-Mac for me, but it's not.  He just happens to be the player that I specifically was upset by his 2nd half usage, but it had nothing to do with my personal feelings towards him, but that he's our only legitimate WR and he had a single target in the 2nd half after going for 73 yards in the first. To me, that is a very legitimate play calling gripe, the win or particular player aside.
    • Dowdle looked great. Watching him made this game alot of fun.
    • We’re stuck with Bryce for now.  He led TWO drives where we came from behind to take the lead. One of them was the winning drive and he threw the winning TD. Taken as a whole…he played at expectation after the 1st quarter. That’s not so bad under the circumstances.  We got the win. Maybe they’ll struggle to build on it but a win is a win. He drove the offense down and took the lead when it was needed. You can’t take that away from him.    We’re not changing QBs anytime soon.  Or owners.  So…when they win, we should take it at face value and give credit where it’s due.  Bryce came up big in clutch moments. You can’t take that away from him.
