Everything we know about Cam's reaggravated ankle

Cam's New Arm

Recommended Posts

I've been thinking all along that there is something not right physically or mentally with Cam to play this poorly. He's basically been playing considerably worse than at any point in his career, and I had to assume it was just an aberration based on an unknown factor. Now we know his foot has probably been bothering him. Now that doesn't mean he's going to come out like MVP Cam when he recovers, but I don't see any reason why he can't play at the level he did during the 1st half of last season. He wasn't incredible, but he played well enough to give us a good chance to win. Anyway I actually think things are looking up, either that or he's going to completely collapse into the end of his career. Either way it should one hell of a show.

I'm not going to lie, i kind of feel like if we clean house after this season, then we need to look into a new training staff as well. This is a lot like Greg last season, "He's ready to go back out and play" and then next thing we know he hurt the same thing again but worse. It seems to be a fairly common trend with this staff and coaches to rush players back from injury before they should.

Yeah this training and medical staff are kind of POOO

I’m pretty sure Olsen knew the risk he was taking. His options were (1) get surgery and end your season or (2) try to play and if you hurt it again get surgery or (3) play on it and if even if you still make it through the season still get surgery.

He was getting surgery regardless. He just hoped he could make through the season before he had to.

I wonder how hurt the foot is really. Since Cam brought it up,  it likely is legit but it seems everytime we replace a veteran with a backup it seems due to injury not poor play.  Likely nothing but it makes you go hmmm.

I think his foot was messed up when he took the field week 1.  Hence the game plans.  Coaches just aren’t being honest.  Ron claiming it being a Thursday was game was the reason not to include runs is comical.

But I do think he hurt it more on that play he ran out of bounds.  Everything fell apart after that.   Then he got wild with his passes.

He missed two weeks during the preseason for it, don't be surprised if hes out for an extended period of time this go round. If Kyle Allen can bang out a couple W's and keep us in contention up to the BYE, I say let Cam rest till then.

That would make his return @ SF, Oct. 27th. Equals to around 43 days Rest/Recovery from the Tampa game.

Seems to me sitting Cam at this point makes perfect sense. Something is wrong and it isn't rust. Cam isn't the Cam of old right now. Maybe he gets it back, maybe he doesn't right away. In either case we need to see what Allen can do so that we know our options. If he plays well then Cam can take some time to heal. If not the pressure is going to be on to try and comeback unless we trust Grier

Yeah, I mean he got a boot on....

but that ain’t a guy who is taking care of himself.   Almost like he wants folks to know it too.  I doubt the trainers were like....here is a good idea...to ride your bike all over Charlotte.  That will help your messed up foot.

And still Newton moved them down the field to almost win that game

if that offensive line can’t move d forward for a foot, then that line is abysmal, starting with Paradis

Man on man, from LT to center they positively sucked

..can’t  even do a standard power I with these guys

all I hear is how great Matsko is and all I see his garbage and a QB whose sick of getting his brains beat in ...our personnel evaluations aren’t the best either   Elway must be laughing his ass off
