Arizona’s Air-Raid Offense

If Arizona plays us like they did against Baltimore, they’re going to run us out the building.

Our run defense has been middle of the pack. And in fact, in the second half of both our games, its been pretty bad.  I wouldn't mind if they play us like they did the Ravens (4 passes for every run).

We’ll have more on this tonight. A lot to digest with their attack. A lot of 10 personnel. A lot of 5W looks. Tough to defend. Unique.

Due to technical issues (son’s science project lol), the Film Room piece will be up tomorrow. Sorry for the delay guys.

Man, Kyler Murray is going to be one hell of a player once he gets a little more time under his belt.  Also, I think that Kliff is going to end up being a great, innovative HC in the NFL.  I'm low-key kinda jealous of what theyve got working there in the desert.

All this after two games? Let the NFL show you how they expose gimics like this.

Tough to defend? Just get your tallest guys in Murray's face. 30% of the time he throws it into his own lineman, 30% of the time he throws it in to your lineman, 20% of the time he throws it off target, 10% of the time he completes the pass.

We have a monster defensive line and I'd like to have Bruce Irvin back for this game. Burns and Bruce locking down the edges without having to worry about a running game.

I know it’s not “retirement/walking boot/fashion/kaepernick” talk, but I’m impressed with the Cards protection on that first play. Dear heavens, Little Kyler has an hour back there.

But they are giving up more sacks than the Panthers are.

    • You don’t even need 1b because Tepper is the only one foolish enough to wheel that deal.    Player wise? Jake’s elbow. JR and Pep getting sideways, no Carruth, Cam’s shoulder, Luke’s concussions, it would be a long list of stuff. You can take it down to certain plays in games. Fox chasing 2 point conversions in the SB would be on my list. RMJr slipping at the end of that same game was not helpful.
    • Ultimately this just amounts to heavy revisionist history. I mean you aren't talking to someone that just popped out the womb a week ago. I was here all throughout the predraft process. The overwhelming majority of the fanbase felt like this was a fine situation and the best situation for a rookie QB to go to compared to Houston for example. The hype for Young and our "rockstar" staff was off the charts. No one could dare speak cautious skepticism of his abilities or they would be neg repped into oblivion. Only after he had one of statistical worst rookie seasons of the last 25 years did we get this narrative now that his rookie season actually shouldn't count. Complete malarkey if you ask me.
    • On the field? Since I guess it qualifies as multiple instances it might not count, but have the damn refs throw some flags on illegal hits to Cam's head in SB50. If that doesn't count, 1A. Cotchery caught it 1B. Kasey keeps that kickoff inbounds. Off the field? 1A. Team is sold to anyone but Tepper 1B. We have the patience not to mortgage the franchise on that Bryce trade. Stroudwpuldve been the better pick but he's not worth it either.
