I say we keep him under 75. We have been a steel curtain for running backs. Also the Texans defense was better than what we will be facing. Not many lines are as good as the Texans was.

Agree with you about Fournette.  He went off big vs Denver, but they can't stop anybody.  In the 3 games prior to Denver, Fournette's highest run production was 66 yds.  So his season's average is hugely inflated by an anomaly.

I expect this game to be a double digit win, with rest for CMC in the 4Q.

i don't think its just the run we have to worry about.  mintchew has some skills.  he can drop some dimes, and it would appear the football gods appreciate his uncle rico-ness.  i think his nickname on the team is jockstrap king.  you can't make this shite up.  so stoked for this game.  two young guys nobody thought would be on the field this year playing well.  two really good D's.  hell yeah!

and its kinda nice not playing hated rivals right this second.  i'm enjoying that i like the other teams we're playing and their qb's.  there's just so much added stress when i hate the other team with a passion

I wouldn't call that line "favorites".  -3.5 basically means the teams are evenly matched, but they give us the edge due to homefield only.

No, that's not what it means. Panthers -3.5 is the # Vegas feels will get them the action they want. I see the public is more on Jacksonville right now (the underdog), so this is good for the Panthers.

Gonna need kk for this one, also unfortunately looks like we are going to need a heavy dose of cmc, unless you trust Samuel and Moore vs bouye and Ramsey.  Gonna see what the interior is made of with Campbell in the middle, tough matchup but we can win if we cut down on the mistakes

Ramsey won’t play

Pretty sure this team doesn’t want to go 0-3 at home. I expect to see another game like Houston, not many points scored.

Worried about our o-line protecting Allen, if he continues to fumble it could cost us.

Have to stop Leonard. Dude ran for 225 last week and we suck against the run so far

This 100%.  He has had one good game in the last 2 years.  Averaged 54yds a game last year and 65 yds a game the first three this year.

some of you whippersnappers probably don't know that the very first game the Carolina Panthers ever played was against the Jacksonville Jaguars.  It was the 1995 Hall of Fame Game.

It was the debut season for both teams, and there was a natural rivalry that eventually fizzled out.  I really wanted us to get off on the right foot and we did, but it was close.  We did win, 20-14, but had a QB named Mark Brunell.  He could throw.  I thought they were lucky to get him.   Steve Beuerlein played quarterback – for Jacksonville.   Their coach was Tom Coughlin.  It was way more important than any regular pre-season game...both teams wanted to be able to say they started their franchise with a win.  I was on the edge of my seat the whole game.

It was tied at the end of the 3rd.   With Carolina ahead 20-14, Jacksonville had four shots to score from inside the 5-yard line in the game’s final minutes. All four failed, with three of them incompletions by Jaguars quarterback Mark Brunell

The teams lined up on the wrong sides of the field for the kickoff.  CB Tyrone Poole returned an interception 85 yards for the Panthers first ever defensive score.

Sam Mills played in that game.  The Panthers would go on to set an expansion team record with 7 wins, against 9 losses, while playing in the NFC West.
