Is Allen a legit starting qb

He is 4-0.  He is a rookie behind a bad OL.  Still undefeated, when he loses then we can say if he is starter or not.

Except the gameplan was CMC.  That is the entire gameplan dude.  When CMC went out, Allen made the throws to Moore.   His only flaw that will prevent him from being a starting QB is the fumbles.  I guarantee you if and when he corrects that, he will have a starting job in the NFL for the next few years.

Hard to say if he is an every week/franchise starter based on the body of work so far, but he has proven  he can start if called upon to do so.

Well, he’s one of the best backups in the league so someone might let him start. Not good enough to take Cams place right now.

That Oline + Cam's foot issue = fug that noise! I love Cam and why people want to rush him back before getting perm hurt.....

i'm not praising allen, but i don't think that's fair.  we won't win any playoff games if the line keeps playing like this

Right now he looks like a solid backup who needs to fix a fumbling issue, a fixable thing. In regards to his lack of throwing deep. He has shown he's not afraid to and he has the arm, however I highly suspect that with the issues on the oline and his recent history of fumbling, Norv avoided dialing up a lot of deep ball plays today. I would not want a young qb who has shown he has trouble holding onto the ball standing in teh pocket with an oline that has shown limited ability to pass protect. That's a recipe for disaster, and we avoided it today. But Allen did throw deep a couple times at least, once for a 50 yard completion, once narrowly avoiding an INT.

He's the best QB currently on the roster, which is all that matters right now.

The line that opened up huge holes all day long with two starters out? Allen has a rough day and has had so many fumbles I lost count. I am thrilled that he has helped us win games, but we need Cam if we are going to compete this year.

I don't want to rush him back. Kyle needs to be the starter for as long as it takes for cam to get healthy. But as soon as he is healthy, the job goes back to him
