Cam's captain's "C" on his jersey was fake

Everybody's favorite running back Deangelo Williams goes on the Mac Attack and says that Cam wore a "C" on his jersey even though he was never voted captain while he was there. What do you all think? Did Cam ask for that or did the team just give it to him? 

Also, I hate D-Lo btw...

Given that team captains are an official position recognized by the league and they actually have certain privileges with regards to speaking to officials, coin flip etc., the notion that any player would be allowed to do what Dwill Claudine’s is absurd on its face. The US  Army isn’t going to let a really talented and popular private wear officer insignia just because he wants to, this would be a similar notion in that respect.
