Kyle Allen starting against Tennessee

This is just stupid. No, not Kyle Allen starting, but announcing it this far in advance. Why? It flies in the face of competitive advantage. The Saints did the right thing this past week. They waited until the last possible moment to announce their starting QB. Why? Because it forces your opponent to hedge their bets. If you don't know which QB is playing you have to either guess and go all in on one guy or half ass prepare for both.

Hey, come on now. He waited till the last minute yesterday to announce those offensive line changes.

Yeah, that only lasted for one series but, you know, principle... or... something.

Yeah, it would be nice if Little and Daley could lockdown the left side of the OL for the future.

I'd still be fine with spending a fairly high pick on an interior OL even if that was the case. Sorry, but Trai and Paradis are overpaid JAGs at this point.

Trai hasn’t been that good for a few years

Gotta wonder if we're just shelving Little for the year.

I'm fine with doing whatever is best for the young man but it speaks volumes that he doesn't even seem to be in the plans right now.

I assume because Cam isn't on a schedule to really be practicing yet...therefore it is pointless to pretend like Tenn would be trying to figure out what is happening.

He announced it early because Cam's not ready to come back and after Sunday Allen needed to know his team and coach were behind him. The whole team took an ass-kicking and he did no worse than anyone else out there, but the kid has a lot of potential and needs to hear someone confident in his abilities.

We literally gain no competitive advantage by holding out for a few days that Kyle is our starting QB.
