From what I've been reading some people think the Redskins avoided trading him because to complete the trade a physical is done by the new team. They would have found the tumor which would have voided the trade and instead of it being a Redskins vs. Williams doctors, it would've forced the NFL to look into why an NFL teams medical staff missed such a serious diagnosis.

Where this REALLY gets entertaining is if the Redskins try to withhold salary from him which could be a possibility with the non-football injury designation.

If a team really wants a player, they will instruct the doctors to pass the physical. Hes already had the tumor removed. The browns all but had him for a first plus, but for some odd reason Bruce didnt deal. Then come trade deadline he called back with intents to trade Williams for said deal, browns said that was three weeks ago f off. 

Between the Texans and the Redskins, I dont know who has failed more when it comes to trades/deals. Clowney for a 3rd maybe the biggest "wtf" in some time.
