Opinions: what can be done with the Defense?

Obviously getting their asses kicked every week will not cut it. With the personal they have, what kind of adjustments can they possibly try to tighten it up. I know that this late in the season, starting totally from scratch is not feasible.

Put on your D coordinator hats and throw out some ideas to at least patch it up....what u got?

Its just a personel issue. Our first year in a 3-4 and we dont have the men up front for it. Kawaan Short being out isnt helping us right now. Once we get him back and draft Javon Kinlaw that should help tremendously. But as of right now, there isnt much we can do.

To be fair, the DTs get washed out of the play and free blockers hit the 2nd level.

That’s probably because we switched to a 3-4 without a person who had ever played 5-tech before. And no SDE to play 4-3. All issues brought up before the season, but hey, we’re good.

    • I had everything saved on an old email address and my computer crashed and could not be revived.  I tried reviving it, then stumbled on one I was going to create several years ago...So I am using it instead.  My fault--did not keep the email and forgot password--
    • Rasheed Walker for Kris Jenkins Jr.is what i am actually referring to in that particular post  all those #'s you are referring to are athletic #'s & Monroe Freeling had or has an impressive combination of size & raw athletiscm & it has nothing do with his size or athelticsm that is preventing him from being a day 1 starter in the NFL technique is where he struggled at the NFL combine & not only scouts but analysts alike also viewed him as more of a developmental type of player rather than a day 1 starter  go take a look at Will Campbell transition from the SEC to the NFL another first round LT that was drafted #4 overall by the New England Patriot,s.Will Campbell was a three year starter at  LSU & was thought to be one of if not the very best LT's in the SEC  & compare his SEC carrer to his rookie season in the NFL? just because you played good in the SEC at LT does nescarrily mean you are ready to start at LT in the NFL day 1 & or your rookie season  & one last thing i think you are jumping to conclusion & somehow assuming that i do not like Monroe Freeling ?which could not be further from the truth .what i do not like is the idea starting a player who is not ready ...just saying
    • I'd 10x rather play the NFC North than NFC West.
