Will Cam ever be mentioned in the same breath as...:

Durability is the only equalizer. Cam when healthy is a HUGE advantage for us. But his body has broken down over the years.

Jackson is playing healthy and looks amazing. But he plays (IMO) more recklessly than Cam did. At least Cam has the size to take the shots. Jackson looks like one hit stick away from RGIII.

Russ, Mahomes, Watson, Jackson or even Dak ever again?

Rus is on a different tier as of now than those guys. Better than all of them. As of now.

Mahomes I think will eventually be the best of them all and is better than Cam.

Jackson is still a big questions mark as a running QB. Can he sustain the success?

Dak and Watson I think are really the only QBs that can be discussed with Cam.

I guess this thread is just about QB's of color, so on that note, Russ is better than any on the list, mainly because of consistency and lack of injuries.  He is pocket and running QB.  Very hard to defend, very hard to see with his small stature.  The rest are young and if they can avoid injuries, all will be great.  Cam's career has been a bit of a roller coaster.  Very dynamic for some periods and then a couple down years, but back up, then down again.  This is the only thing that will hamper his place.  The down years have a lot to do with the continued sorry Olines and injuries

lamar is much much better at being 'real' and 'likable' in front of the camera than cam was. he's not mercurial like cam was.  he's a better runner.   he's the top rated passer from the pocket in the league.   he's top 5 in passing vs every type of coverage and pressure.    he's having a better year than cam did in '15 so far.  we'll see how it plays out.    he looks to be a better version of what cam was so far.

Geesh. Careful not to choke on that heap of salt over there.

There's talk of course that someone will find a way to stop him and then things may change. I suppose that's possible, but not guaranteed.

Lotsa folks though Vick was unstoppable but between us and Monte Kiffin in Tampa we figured it out. For us, the addition of Thomas Davis was a big part of it.

Agreed, at this point anyone playing the Ravens needs to have a spy on Jackson to lock him down.

The downside of that as you do have to find somebody who's actually capable of doing that. Not necessarily the easiest task.

In our case, we did it by converting an athletic safety to linebacker. I'm not that big a fan of NFL position switches, but that one worked.

Strange Question!...
If Cam never plays again he may struggle to get into the HoF.
If Cam plays another 5 succesful seasons he will be a HoFer.
But who will talk about Mahomes, Watson, Jackson or Prescott if they get hurt this season and never play again? Maybe nobody!
Only Russell Wilson could stop playing now and will be remembered forever. Maybe Cam too!

Cam may not be first ballot but he's done enough to make it. His plethora of NFL records can attest to that being one of the most prolific rushing QBs in the history of the game although players like Watson and Jackson may challenge that. Jackson may actually take most of his records the way he's going but we'll see.

no salt.  lamar's 2nd year.   the kid is amazing on a football field.   he also has a better coach, a better oc, and the highest rated left tackle in the league.   that part i'm salty about.

I doubt Jackson breaks his rushing TD mark. He is not built like Cam to be a battering ram in the red zone.

Lamar is a hell of a player.  Probably MVP his 2nd year, wow.  He's got the mobile game of Cam but a sense when to avoid the hit, in addition to eye popping completion percentages well above the 55 to 60% we're used to.  Not a goal line back but his accuracy more than makes up for it.  A lot of embarassed GMs out there right now.

    • I'm not a Bryce hater and I would 100% move on.  Especially looking at how the upcoming qb draft looks on paper.  Hopefully he continues to improve but if in 3 seasons you're still chasing average season numbers then he's not going to be the guy.  You've just got to keep taking swings until you hit.  Average qbs without any elite physical traits cant get it done anymore.  So this year Hopefully he continues to develop and is above average statistically.
    • Meltdowns???? He was pulled by Canales because he wasn't executing the game plan after 2 games into the season so he could watch Dalton execute the offense and show Bryce the windows available in the NFL, how to push the ball down the field and how to step up and move around when blitzed. When Young came back 5 games later he clearly watched and improved. Enough he was named the future starter. He doesn't have a history of  meltdowns nor is there any reason to assume he will have one. From what I have read he is mentally strong and emotional stable. He may have bad games down the road, everyone does. But this is all a learning experience for him and so far he seems to be making progress. I can understand being hesitant on anything Panthers, but Young has surprisingly been able to gain his confidence after a disastrous start. You aren't alone in being cautious but I think he is the future. I thought he was too small and too short to succeed in the NFL. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised last year and am optimistic about the offense for the first time since Wilks and Dalton were decent.
    • The Rams wanted to trade up for Williams who they ended up within the end. They even told him that when they called him to let him know he is the pick. The other teams are only an assumption. Like the Cowboys, who took a guard. The truth is the team wanted to trade down first and foremost but couldn't get an offer the were happy with. They took McMillan because they felt he was bpa at 8 plain and simple.
