Myles Garrett suspended indefinitely

Player targeting?  Garrett legit did something the NFL has *never* seen before.

I won't ever agree Rudolph deserves a suspension because we don't suspend players for grabbing at other players helmets or shoving a leg into them.

Pouncey deserved a lengthy suspension and he received one.  3 games is a long as fug time.

The NFL outlines why each of the three players were suspended and frankly the logic is sound.

Rudolph started the whole thing and even when they were broken up came back and tried to rip his helmet off again. Yea but just a model QB who should not have gotten anything. While Garrett was getting attacked by three Steelers players the whole time and being kicked and punched while being held down. The crime doesn't fit the punishment here.

And that's my exact argument.

Yep, I agree with you.

It doesn’t matter what happened, Garrett should be afforded the same protections as these same individuals want to give little Mason. Garrett was on the ground, completely taken out of the action, and Pouncey kicked him in the head. Just like the helmet hit, serious damage could’ve been done. I don’t know why they don’t want to give Garrett the same protections that Mason is receiving.

Garrett and Pouncey should be done for the year. You can’t kick someone in the head.

You're lying. Richie Incognito got caught in the face with his own helmet not too long ago.

Not lying - didn't know that happened.  I stand corrected.  Still quite a different situation though, and still got him suspended.  He didn't hit Incognito apparently, but took a swing at him.  So there is a big difference there.

If you read the NFL statement, Garrett was suspended for multiple actions in that string of things.

You're gonna have to call me blind then. I'm no fan of the league by a long shot, but on this their response doesn't look like player targeting to me. As always ymmv.

So you think Rudolph should get almost nothing for attacking a player twice. I get he got his butt handed to him but just cause he did he gets a small fine ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For better or worse, the NFL considers helmets to be protective equipment.  Garrett still had his helmet on.

I guarantee you that if Pouncey had ripped off Garrett's helmet then stomped on him he would be done for the year.

Josh Norman had his helmet on when Odell launched into him with his helmet, yet some would consider that a worse offense than Miles swinging his helmet at Mason. Players are getting concussions out here, and while Mason could’ve gotten one from the helmet hit, Garrett could’ve gotten one from that kick.

Pouncey should be through for the year.

You've got to stop fixating on the helmet hit. It obviously wasn't as Earth-shatteringly devastating as you seem to imagine it was. Rudolph is fine physically, probably a little sore. Garrett should be suspended for it, because it was a fuged up thing to do. Pouncey should also be suspended for it, for an equal amount of time, because what he did was just as fuged up. You do realize how much greater force is exerted from a kick vs. a punch, right? They both tried to hurt another player, after the whistle, because they let their tempers get the best of them.

It is not about whether Garrett inflicted significant brain damage to Rudolph, lol.  Dude swung and hit him with a weapon, after the initial altercation had been separated, and long after he had initially ripped the helmet off of Randolph's head.

suspended for two preseason games and the season opener

right, and nobody can watch that altercation, and watch what happened with Rudolph, and conclude they are the same thing.  Both are awful, but the situation with Rudolph was an extended brawl.
