Yeah Ryan Kalil sucked.  Greg Hardy, Charles Johnson, Gary Barniage and Josh Norman too.  Others too.

Do I need to make a list of the players that actually sucked? It's much bigger than the list of the good players, outside of the first round. And I might as well include the players that were drafted by other teams by the draft picks he traded away.

Honestly after watching the interview with Tepper, I like his approach of having more than one guy at the top. If it’s my money, sure, I’d like to have one guy to pay, but if Tepper is willing to have specialist roles on the payroll, then that’s fine by me.

To be fair, Richardson skimped on front office personnel for years. Not because he thought it was a better approach but because he was too cheap to pay for it.

In other words hiring and training his eventual replacement?

Don't know about hiring or training, but "potential replacement" is possible.

I posted a transcript of Tepper's exchange with Voth. He referred to Marty at one point as being "more senior" while also discussing new things he wanted to being into the organization.

Yeah...I cant defend him for most of those picks/decisions .

Dont see us going QB

He is going to make dam well sure the trenches are fixed.  I remember him mentioning the OL last offseason, and it has been a disaster this season.

We had better not.

theres some legit left tackles and corners in the top 10. We can finally draft one.

then we draft DB and Oline the rest of the draft. Get some real interior road graders and legit safety.

Given Tepper's press conference, I think this is now clearly a path.  I even think it could be the case in more of an unofficial position.  Hurney is super personable guy with an eye for certain (not all) talent.  He will probably stay in some capacity.

He should just have a contract, title-less,  it can be referred to as the Hurney role.

    • Thats a weird take, we had no chance at keeping Kobe
    • "by name"?  You mean they are letting him say he is retiring or stepping down? That's even more embarrassing than being fired (he basically quit) and so transparently false that the media will kill him and this university.  If this happens, I may just turn full fledge to an SMU fan since I live in Dallas now. I'm just about sick of this university's approach to basketball and football.
