Hate him all you want, but he’s a damn good example of the kind of man you should look up to.  I’m gonna miss him and I hope he wins a trophy wherever he ends up.

Ron's not doing himself any favors. He's basically saying you can't win consistently and using Baltimore and Pittsburgh to support his point. Uhm, Tomlin has never had a losing season and Harbaugh has had one in twelve years.

Brought a tear to my eye. Glad to see Greg is allowed around though, must be purely precautionary on the protocol.

Speculation was that he and Tepper didn't see eye-to-eye on analytics, and I think he confirmed that in one of his answers.

The way he talked about numbers (figures lie, liars figure, etc) definitely didn't mesh with a numeric analytics based philosophy. His version of analytics was basically what he saw and interpreted in his own mind.

I don't doubt that's a big part of why he's no longer working here.

Ya. I feel like Tepper is in the wrong for firing him before the end of the season. 

Don't get me wrong, I get why Tepper did it. But you don’t do that to a man like Rivera. Apparently the players are not happy about this at all either.

I don’t think he buys into the analytics movement at all. He goes by his eyes and his gut on things. Old school approach. It’ll be interesting to see if he has future success if he lands on a team without a top tier QB.

Fans have taken for granted just how stable the lockerroom has been the last decade, minus a malcontent or two like Smitty.

Tepper better hit a home run with his next hire or we're really going to regret this, damn.

And this right here is why this franchise is stuck in mediocrity for the past 25 years.
