To be fair if the Panthers multi million dollar coaching staff needs my help in evaluating Will Grier, I gotta tell ya fellas, we’re in worse shape than we thought.

I know. This "we" stuff, in this case means fans. The people inside that building have seen this guy daily for quite a while. He is in all the meetings.

Scott Turner was supposed to be a huge advocate for taking him. Seems like if he was showing he was ready, they would put him in. Doesn't seem to me there is a lot to gain by putting him in if he isn't ready.

To be fair, it's not like there's a lot to lose either.

While I know he's may  not be ready to lead the team to a win, I'm more interested in seeing his instincts in full game speed. Does he step into the pocket well? How does he move through progressions? Does he feel ghosts? Does he throw away instead of hanging on too long? Practice is one thing, but game day can give a lot of information we could use, especially headed into such a pivotal offseason.

    • The front office cant have some young guy with a live arm come in here and make Young look bad I guess.
    • I want to laugh and hope it’s a joke but somehow I believe this to be true.
    • Eh. Ultimately they got abused badly when they faced a more stout contender in the Ravens last year. I watched that one and while they have made improvements to that roster it's still a work in progress. And ultimately they are an injury or two away from tough predicaments like any other team. And they have dealt with that along the way. And let's consider that for a moment. For so long now we've used injuries or lack of depth as an  excuse for bad football. But there are other teams out there that while they might stumble a bit they don't utimately fall down a flight of stairs to the cellar because of it. Our Panthers however? Well you know.
