For the Panthers I don't see any way to draft Simmons unless we plan on trading 59 because Simmons is a Urlacher type LB in the league. 

I'm open minded but don't see that happening. If it's a choice between Simmons and a corner and they're both rated similar I'd take the corner.

2011 offseason: For the Panthers I don't see any way to draft Kuechly unless we plan on trading 52 because Kuechly is a Urlacher type LB in the league.

You draft the BPA regardless of position, because who knows what we'll need in a few years when we're competitive again

 

It would be insane to ignore a HUGE need on the DL considering our putrid run defense and Brown would happen to be BPA at a position of need. I do agree we should never reach to fill a need and if Derrick Brown is off the table when we draft then BPA by all means.

I believe that Simmons can play S in the NFL. He’s a freak athlete. Just a little taller than Derwin James. Could be Kam Chancellor type of safety
