I'd say his hand is much more important in terms of successfully playing on the DL than as a gunner.

yep.  like Captain Munnerlyn was a homerun draft pick.  You don't have to be an elite player to be a great draft pick.  Getting a legit NFL player in the 7th round is a homerun even if they are depth. 

We overused Captain.   Asked him to be more than he was often.  But to get a nickel CB in the 7th round of his caliber? A dream for teams.

Agreed. He should be backing up at RT or LT. 

The best starting left tackle we have had the past two seasons was Chris Clark. Think about that.
