Tepper's Decision Making Continues to Spiral Down

If hes truly trying to poach the patriots staff or anyone that was associated and also focusing on offense, this year doesn't seem like one to go by. Pats offensive is awful. Also being interested in the bills OC? They literally can't score.

As for GM, nobody whos brought in as long as hurney is retained, would the hired GM even have a say? Would he just structure the contracts while hurney still makes personnel decisions? If we sign someone with no experience, we will know.

Tepper wants to make money and show off. Soccer sucks. Mls teams are trendy and cheap cash ins.

(i)  Complete nonsense.  If making more money was the goal he wouldn't have wound down Appaloosa.  Even if the Panthers were the most profitable team in the NFL the returns would be peanuts to him -- complete non-event.

(ii)  MLS teams are perpetual money losers.  Goes completely counter to your initial assertion.

Patience people!

Yeah I guess you don't watch football and see there oline is almost as bad as ours and he only has Eldeman to throw to that is getting double covered. Maybe you should watch football more or just think before you post?

Tepper is not informing people who would tell radio hosts his decisions lol. Get over yourself. Only ppl who know what we will do is Tepper and MAYBE Hurney.

Why is everyone on Teppers nuts. The guy has done more for the team/Carolinas in less than two seasons of owning the team than Richardson did in 20+ years. He fired Rivera and is making changes across the football side now that he has become acclimated on the business side (he was just now able to sell his share of the Steelers) and is making money moves. The huddle can’t go one day without a trash thread bashing the guy. The man is doing everything possible to make sure we are able to compete with the rest of the league and eliminating roadblocks for the players being that he is not going cheap like Richardson did. From upgrading faculty, additional roles like game management coach, practice bubble, in house mental health clinician, state of the art training facility, analytics, a future new stadium etc etc etc. We are moving Hurney to a new role, will soon hire an assistant Gm/Vice President of football operations and will be getting a new coaching staff, yet people continue to bitch.

Exactly. Just the interest off the money he already has is 10x more than most nfl owners take home.

All GMs he may want to hire are under contract until after the draft. We’re stuck with Hurney for now. Look for a move after the draft.

    • There is a Grand Canyon-sized chasm between your opinion and the opinions of most former player hockey guys who do this for a living.
    • I can only imagine the **** eating grins on the committee right now. "Oh, Bama didn't deserve it? Oh, Miami didn't deserve it? Suck it, haters!" lol
    • To say that, is gaslighting, because it isn’t true. I mean, maybe one or two people do that but it isn’t the predominant behavior. Even Frank has given him credit. I think particularly the Rams game. A couple of glowing posts.   I know I have. Gotta be honest about it because if you aren’t it undermines what else you say.  But the degree of how far I go with credit, in terms of it being a projection of future performance? Not very far. Acknowledge it, but require more of it. There is a lot of bad play to offset.    I tried to remain passive while the last 9 games (post ankle injury) played out. It is just really hard when the lows won’t go away. I failed. As high as a couple of those highs were, there isn’t enough.    I know it is premature to just say I want to move on, made my decision after 6 of those games ended up pretty much really good or not good enough, but I have had enough of being patient and letting him show the reality either way.  So in my view, he Could still validate himself to a decent degree if he smokes the last three starts. But also in my view I don’t expect to see it. Maybe one more high quality start, would be my expectation. So yes he could still somehow justify having the job next year. If that happened I still wouldn’t have much faith given the last three years and all that has transpired. Again, there is a lot of bad play to offset.
