The Panthers(5-10, SOS: .547) path to the #6 overall draft pick is within reach. Here are the key games opponents remaining(including today's games).

http://www.tankathon.com/nfl

Detroit Lions(3-10-1), SOS: .504

Remaining Games: @Denver, Green Bay

Scenario: We can only surpass the Lions if they sweep the remaining games. Ideally, they win versus Denver which would move the Broncos out of a tie situation with us.

Arizona Cardinals(4-9-1), SOS: .537

Remaining Games: @Seattle, @Los Angeles Rams

Scenario: If the Cardinals can pull out an upset victory against one of their remaining opponents, it would put us ahead of them.

Jacksonville Jaguars(5-10), SOS: .483

Remaining Games: Indianapolis

Scenario: The Jags let a critical opportunity to move us ahead of them slip away today but also put the Atlanta Falcons(who have a higher SOS than we do) behind us in the draft order. If they can circle the wagons for the last game of the season, we would move ahead of them.

Los Angeles Chargers(5-9), SOS: .502

Remaining Games: Oakland, @Kansas City

Scenario: The Chargers have a huge home game today against a very beatable in opponent in the Raiders. Otherwise they will have to get a road win against a Chiefs team jockeying for playoff position.

Denver Broncos(5-9), SOS: .522

Remaining Games: Detroit, Oakland

Scenario: The Broncos have two great opportunities to move ahead of us, both at home. A win this week or next week will put us ahead of them.

Wins today by Denver, Los Angeles and Arizona would move us up to #7 and an additional win by Jacksonville next week would put us at #6.

Well all signs point to the No. 1 pick in 2021, that’s for sure.

Nah, a serious o-line rebuild and switching back to the 4-3 will actually get us a better record than this year.  If Cam is back we can be fringe playoff material.  The D will lack a pass rush but Luke will be back in his natural position.  A better coach to scheme around our strengths and mask our weakness and we might look like a real team sooner than later.

Now, if they go Defense rebuild 1st, we're screwed.  Years of suck will be our fate.
