Tepper is clearly focused on MLS soccer and a new stadium and not...

The Panthers!

Hi Dave, I know you or your cronies are reading this.

It’s painfully obvious that Tepper’s 5 year plan is centered around 2 things:

1) establishing a MLS fan base

and

2) building a new stadium

...building a winning NFL franchise is 3rd in his list. All he cares about is doubling his revenue by adding a second sport.

That’s why he fired our coach? Dumb$ass

No. You just need to be more patient.  There's nothing more he can do until the season is over. That's when you'll see him get to work on overhauling this team.

Everyone that wanted some magic bullet to fix this team mid-season is/was being unrealistic.  That's not something any team can do.  Heck, he already showed his hand by firing Rivera.  Don't fret, changes are coming.

I still think letting Rivera go mid season was a pecker head thing to do...

No, it was actually a respectful and classy thing to do.  He had already made the decision to move on, so rather than go behind his back, he made the move.

And the season was already over, so despite how things are looking now, there really wasn't any on-field reason to hang on to him for a few meaningless weeks.

For real. Tepper made it clear to Ron he was gonna be honest. He's looking for a new coach while Jerry Jones is doing the same behind the back of Jason Garrett.

I really doubt he doesn't care about winning. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt through this process.

However I will say the new stadium talk is extremely cringe considering the timing. If I were him I would really not bring that up. Just thinking about it now leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

What do you expect him to do right now? Let's just please wait after this offseason once he finally chooses his own coaching staff.

pie to you.

I am curious with what the “fan base” expectations were after during River.   I think a lot of people just wanted him gone and to tank.  That is what is happening.  Is the team not losing correctly?   Did some folks think the tam would have restored vigor to play competitively every week?

Rivera was known as a guy that could keep a team together.   Prior to him leaving they were still trying but just not really that competitive as a team.   He probably still had the locker room but the delivery on the field was downright poor.

i think Ron’s departure led to a vacuum and there is no leadership from the lame duck coaching staff in place.

For tepper to rebuild he needs In Place and I don’t think he was planning to have all that done prior to week 17.

What the hell is he supposed to do right now? Hire some scrub coach because he's available or wait until guys who are actually worth hiring become available after playoffs?

Same with the GM search... Top prospects won't be available until after the draft.

So, hot take guy....what should he be doing?

    • From what i see, Canales offense requires a QB that is willing to take chances to maximize the offense. XL is also the kind of receiver that needs a qb to be risky to bring out his full potential. Its just a matter of if Bryce is gonna be that QB.
    • Baker just played how Baker played.... everywhere but here. He is a risk taking gunslinger.  Always has been.  And last year was asked to be what he was.   Geno Smith was the best deep ball passer in the NFL his comeback season.  Wasn't even close that year.  Again, that's the type passer Canales has always been around in the offenses he has been part of.  The pass game that compliments the stubborn run is the deep chunk play pass game.   And that was his first investment with XL.  My continued point, is the same as going into last season.  It's a bad marriage going in.  The QB doesn't fit the scheme.  Again.  Carrol/Fox/Ron....all paired up their boring football with risk taking QBs.  And again, I'm fine if that is where we are going.  It's not my preference but that's not my argument.  I'm saying if we are doing that, we need a QB that matches it.
    • I guess you missed the point. His rushing attack was dead last yet his team still performed. That’s not Fox/Rivera ball. His QB also had a career year. Remember the same QB that played for us in the same division and was so bad he was cut?  Carroll coached after Lynch as well. In fact Canales was more involved in the more recent offense with Geno Smith and a good rushing attack. People are taking him wanting a rushing attack and assuming that means we are shutting down our passing attack. Again many of the top offenses like SF, Miami, and Detroit featured strong rushing attacks.
