Temple center Matt Hennessy declares for the draft

A top rated Center in the 2nd or even 3rd round would be nice. The O-line problems start in the middle. 

Is it me, but is it better to get "shorter" O-line men? 6-4 or less, better center of gravity and and can get a low push better. Thoughts?

I’m in favor of prioritizing interior line, particularly center this year. Little/Daley might pan out, they might not, but given our entire line needs improvement, it seems reasonable to pursue the area we know for a fact needs drastic fixing while giving it another year to see if rookies this year develop and improve with better interior play next to them.

Odd that we simply cannot figure out how to replace Gross and Kalil isn't it?

Almost like there is no planning from the front office if long term, stable players could somehow decide to retire or get injured?

We've long known that Hurney was a year to year, "by the seat of his pants" guy.

Get the best available LT in the draft next year in the first, pick up this guy in the second, and trade back into the 2nd to get the best mauler OG and call it a day.

Based on yesterday's game, I'm not sure if Temple has anyone on their roster who is D1 P5 caliber, much less NFL caliber.

That's the issue...scouts can't seem to figure out who can and can't play LT in the NFL these days.....

It's one of the stranger developments in the NFL over the past decade or so.

Yeah, seems like these guys with all the elite traits are busting left and right and guys who were pigeonholed as RTs or even OGs are turning out to be the better LTs

My only guess is it's like QB's, they just get pushed up the draft boards due to need, unfairly.

Maybe the scouts are getting the analysis right but the GM's are ignoring it hoping that it all works out?

Maybe because the elite athletes are playing DT and DE vs. T and G in college and high school as thats where the money is at?

Not sure, but we need it address badly, or we need an entirely new offensive concept, which won't surprise me at all with a new coach.

QB in first if new coaching staff falls in love with one from this draft, and then this kid in the 2nd would be very nice.
