Tre should have never been released

he is a guy I wouldn’t mind paying, has played above average the last 3 seasons on 1 yr deals, I hope we can ink him here for the next 3 in a deal that works for both sides

I'd love to keep him if the price is right. I think his recent history has shown he tends to have a very inflated view of his worth, hence him not really being able to stick in a place.

I can’t blame him, after the year when guys like Ryan grant and Sammy Watkins were getting overpaid, why not get what you can?

but obviously from a football standpoint, that’s not how it works, unless you’re going to a bottom feeder

Lol. Are you Tre’s mom? No one is bitter. This is how sports fandom works: We judge players on a relative scale, relative to other NFL players, with the understanding that anyone on an NFL roster is very talented.

If that were true you'd realize that both Tre and Eric keep jobs in the NFL despite not being super stars or even stars and can help a roster, much like many other players on other rosters.

But instead here you are. Bitter.

The WR market is far, far, far different than the safety market. That's like saying a RB should be more money because Cousins and Joe Flacco got huge contracts.

Boston is a good player but his inability to stick in one place and probably speaks a lot more to him than it does NFL teams. If you are a good player in the league(provided you don't have some off field incidents that keep you away) it is typically not that hard to find work.

    • At this point the Tepper's seem to be leading you around by the nose based on how much time you spend carrying water for them so I'm not surprised you're struggling. We are the only team who saw fit to install Andy Dalton with his zero career playoff wins as a culture cornerstone and a key mentor. Even the putrid Saints wanted no parts of that. Truth hurts 🤷‍♂️
    • They have drafted two QB's since they took Hurts in the 2020 Draft. Tanner McKee(6th - 2023) and Kyle McCord(6th - 2025). In that span we have drafted Bryce Young(1st - 2023) and Matt Corral(3rd - 2022). Technically, we have invested significantly higher draft capital on QB's(albeit one less than they). It's not the investement that is the issue, it's the results. Corral was literally not a rosterable player with a THIRD ROUND PICK. We gave up a king's ransom for Bryce to basically get Davis Mills results(so far).
    • No QB from the draft or free agency was going to change this being a losing season for us. I mean we’re rebuilding, everything we’re doing is meant to be for winning tomorrow.
