Any optimism for next season?

I'm sure not going to spend the offseason worrying about how bad we will be. Why live your life that way?

I still believe injuries doomed the 2019 Panthers more than anything else. A lot of those injuries will be healed and a lot of experience has been gained across all three strings for the team. Perhaps new coaching will bring some life back into the team and make use of a very talented core.

Worst to first used to be the mantra of the NFC South. Let's see if we can rise to the top again.

Im not optimistic about next season, basically because there are so many unknowns.

1) who will be the HC, who will his staff be

2) Does Tepper want a healthy Cam

3) who will be playing?

What I am optimistic about is that I believe Tepper wants a winner and will hire the right people needed to make us a perennial contender... it’s just going to take time

A rebuilt OL and healthy Cam and we can compete.  If we can't do both of those, then no.

Some of our ability to compete is obviously directly ties into the NFCS as a whole, and this could be a huge offseason for all 4 teams, not just us. For all the Cam questions, is this it for Brees?  Who are they cutting/losing to re-sign him if he's back? Falcons are cap strapped and injury plagued with a bad roster.  Bucs, keep Jameis and his INTs at 30 per year or are they bringing in a new QB?  Could be a lot of change coming across the division.

Right now, there's an awful lot of very important stuff that's still unsettled. Nonetheless, I'm curious about people's general thoughts on the season to come.

Specifically, is there anybody that believes this team has the potential to pull out a winning season in 2020?

Do you have hope for better things to come or are you looking at next year like a kid waiting for his punishment?

Explain your thinking.

Tbh it comes down to the intelligence of the top office, if we logically retain a healthy Cam, resign some important free agents, and draft for the interior trenches, then yes I think we can even make a playoff run...we dont need a rebuild imo...just 2 or 3 very big holes in the trenches that cause other units to fail. Interior d literally cant stop the run or block olineman wich neutralizes our lbs wich hurts our dbs. On offense the oline breaks downs wich effects the qb and neutralizes our offense.

Zero reason for optimism.

the saints have a roster poised to contend even if Brees retires.

the falcons look like they figured it out a bit late and will carry over that momentum into 2020.

the Bucs finally have a legit head coach and if they move on from Jameis, they will be at worse a wildcard team.

we are the bottom of the barrel and I expect us to stay there for at least two years. Just long enough to see Luke past his prime and a cap crippling decision to make CMC the highest paid back in league history.

Cam is coming back with a chip on his shoulder, if he was good before hes gonna be insane now. Trust me the right moves will put us into contention .
