Mills III joins the Redskins

It's a sign things are changing in Pantherland. Loved his dad, really not sure about the III as a coach. If this is the cost of tossing the old and failed way of running the team, i am behind it. Good luck to him and maybe we will see him again down the road.

Richardson lobbied to keep him when Rivera came aboard. Doesn't sound like Tepper did.

I liked having him here even if it was just as an assistant to an assistant. Made it feel like we still had a tie to his dad.

That said, he has to do what he feels is best for his career so I don't blame him for taking the opportunity.

Ron's staff so far, tell me if you see a trend.

OC: Scott Turner (Panthers)
QB Coach: Ken Zampese (son of Norv Turner's mentor Ernie Zampese)
RB Coach: Asked about Jake Peetz, blocked by the Panthers
WR Coach: Jim Hostler (Panthers)
TE Coach: Pete Hoener (Panthers)
OL Coach: John Matsko (Panthers)
Offensive QC: Luke Del Rio (Jack's son)
DC: Jack Del Rio (former Panthers DC some years back)
DL Coach: Sam Mills III (Panthers)
LB Coach: Steve Russ (Panthers)
DB Coach: Chris Harris (played for the Panthers under Fox)
ST Coach: Nate Kaczor
Assistant ST Coach: Ben Jacobs (Panthers)
Trainer: Ryan Vermillion

Only one coach who doesn't have at least some sort of shirt tail connection to the Panthers (one position unfilled).

Rivera had a role for his son Vincent on the Panthers staff, as a defensive QC, I think. He'll probably do the same in DC.

This just keeps getting better.  We're ridding ourselves of everyone associated with that moron, and he keeps hiring all the guys who contributed to his firing.  It's perfect.

Wonder why he he left Eric Washington out  in the cold? He thought highly enough of him to try him at DC. I thought he'd at least bring him on board as DL coach.
